Carver is a one off. He was a part of a halloween story encounter in the past (so there are 'stats' for him) and was the award for the various Wyrd painting competitions.

Google Images is probably your best bet. Wyrd has gone back and forth with their fans on the model images used on the boxes. First it was just the art, and then people wanted painted models, but painted models can be used to hide defects, so they did unpainted, to which people said, "well now we can't see the details". So when Wyrd jumped to 3d designed models they said, "Feth it!" and said here's the model art. To be fair the renders are probably about as close to what you're going to get in terms of what the model looks like and the details on it. The art is a good stand in for the painted model because Wyrd uses their art as the concepts for the renders. So art influences render which influences model.

Edit: For Santana, I can confirm that the render is almost 100% accurate to her model.

Dammit, wish I'd waited to buy Tara. I wonder how blue the plastic Rasputina is. A little bit goes a long way. Mostly clear would be preferrable to blue popsicle. Same with the Pandora set greed. I may go with the yellow, as you can ink it to greenish, but its harder to go reverse.

So Zoraida is the only book 1 master still left out in the cold? Not that you'd want to see zoraida in the cold...

Though to be fair, that image if far more clear than it is blue (the base gives a closer idea of the blue) I'll take a picture of mine when I get home (as I was going to use him for various large base Rasputina crew models

Excited about McM (whom I expected), and very pleasantly surprised by Carver and the special fx crews, though I wish the rasputina blue was more subtle or just plain clear.

Yes. I can't find the pic, but there were a couple LE golems released as prize support with photos. It's that bright blue.

Thank you for the info Breotan. A couple of the crews are new to me, so am excited to see the Nicodem and Perdita ones. Assuming I have an updated fate deck will the rules manual be enough for me to play? As the 2.0 rulebook is proving impossible to find, and probably will remain so until at least Jan/Feb 2014 at the earliest.

The other manual had everything except minis and fluff, and I assume you mean arsenal (models) not fate (playing cards) deck.

Some very nice sculpts. I see a few mini's i'll be picking up as inquisitor henchmen / inquisitors.

... I really want to like Malifaux again. I was pretty heavy into it, and loved it... but the rules just got so cumbersome in such a short period of time.

Gonna keep my eye on 2nd ed. I might convince my local crew that this is a good skirmish game to pick up if i like what i see.

I like the new Perdita. Not enough to drop $100 on full MSRP stuff plus their usual S&H fee, but I might keep an eye out on the secondary market for the usual suspects to list some of their extras up.

Even as someone who hasn't played in ages, it's a pretty sweet model, and the Ortega's were my first crew.

The translucent ones look awesome, and were I a more ambitious sort, I bet they'd look simply incredible with LEDs installed underneath, as was suggested by Justin in the Wyrd forums thread on the matter.

But I definitely don't have any interest in paying $190 plus shipping for those 3. Back when I was collecting Arcanists (after I'd finished the Guild) I snagged Kaeris and Ramos crews, with an eye on Collette and Rasputina. Were I still interested, I could see getting the latter in blue, both Arsenal decks, a 2.0 rules manual and perhaps a minion to round me off to a bonus Perdita, but that'd be if I was still playing and collecting.

Though I did toss the idea of playing 1.5 this weekend out to my crew, and so far nobody has exploded or launched into a tirade.

I kid, the only person coming who expressed any reluctance has noted that he'd be fine with getting in a game once in a while.

Imho the transparent crews are just too gimicky for me! It just feels like they've been playing around with a 3d printer in the office and thought they'd toss out a few ideas!

All the normal crews look good though and it's good to finally see some progress again!

Can't wait for wave 2!
