Looks to be a case/transporter design project. Though the format of the data collection is not that great if I am honest.

done,
question regarding custom fit foam, i have some custom made(by me) and others don't really need it.
Interchangeable foam for standard box size Now that would be cool... Meaning you can pick chose what you take and not need as much box's...

Also the question about time spent repairing modles isn't clear. Is that suppose to be how often during a week or in my life time?

... I don't know... there are already lots of options for transporting miniatures safely. By now, the market's probably flooded enough that the only thing that's going to matter is price.

Maby a case for people travelling by crowded bus? Something that can fit in your lap, and carry your books, dice andtape measure. Hopefully something with a secure and/or locking pocket for a tablet device. That's something i haven't seen yet.
But for that target demographic, price might be a pretty important concern...

You should put gun/pistol cases in your list. I know a lot of people that use those and cut the foam to avoid (as much as possible) damage.

I cannot imagine how much fun it would be to take the 4 quad pistol cases I use to hold some of my tyranids onto a city bus.
