I will post some strategy to the list at a later time. Commander Farsight (165pt.) Crisis battlesuit; Multi-tracker; Blacksun filter; Shield generator; Plasma rifle; Dawn blade; 7x - Farsight's bodyguard team (468pt.) Bonding knife ritual; > 3x - Crisis Bodyguard (62pt.); Crisis battlesuit; Multi-tracker; Blacksun filter; Fusion blaster (x2); > 3x - Crisis Bodyguard (67pt.); Crisis battlesuit; Multi-tracker; Blacksun filter; Fusion blaster (x2); Target lock; > 1x - Crisis Bodyguard (67pt.); Crisis battlesuit; Multi-tracker; Blacksun filter; Fusion blaster (x2); Vectored retro-thrusters; @Elites [ 1 ] XV104 Riptide (275pt.) Riptide battlesuit; Multi-tracker; Blacksun filter; Riptide shield generator; Heavy burst cannon; Twin-linked smart missile system; Velocity tracker; Shielded missile drone (x2); The Talisman of Arthas Moloch; @Troops [ 6 ] 3x - XV8 Crisis team (153pt.) Bonding knife ritual; > 2x - Shas'ui (54pt.); Crisis battlesuit; Multi-tracker; Blacksun filter; Burst cannon (x2); Gun drone; > 1x - Shas'ui (42pt.); Crisis battlesuit; Multi-tracker; Blacksun filter; Burst cannon (x2); 2x - XV8 Crisis team (116pt.) Bonding knife ritual; > 2x - Shas'ui (57pt.); Crisis battlesuit; Multi-tracker; Blacksun filter; Missile pod; Twin-linked missile pod; 2x - XV8 Crisis team (116pt.) Bonding knife ritual; > 2x - Shas'ui (57pt.); Crisis battlesuit; Multi-tracker; Blacksun filter; Missile pod; Twin-linked missile pod; 2x - XV8 Crisis team (116pt.) Bonding knife ritual; > 2x - Shas'ui (57pt.); Crisis battlesuit; Multi-tracker; Blacksun filter; Missile pod; Twin-linked missile pod; 2x - XV8 Crisis team (106pt.) Bonding knife ritual; > 2x - Shas'ui (52pt.); Crisis battlesuit; Multi-tracker; Blacksun filter; Plasma rifle (x2); XV8 Crisis team (33pt.) Bonding knife ritual; > 1x - Shas'ui (32pt.); Crisis battlesuit; Multi-tracker; Blacksun filter; Flamer (x2); @Secondary Detachment [ 1 ] @HQ [ 1 ] Commander (135pt.) Crisis battlesuit; Command and control node; Puretide Engram Neurochip; Multi-spectrum Sensor Suit; @Troops [ 1 ] 11x - Kroot Carnivore squad (65pt.) > 10x - Kroot (6pt.); Kroot armour; Kroot rifle; > 1x - Kroot hound (5pt.); So pretty much the whole strategy is to take out their GC or SH and then just kill everything else from there. What do you guys think? For me to build an army, its this or the O'Vesa Star. What would you build now that Escalation has come out?

Well certainly O'Vesa star is stronger as we have discussed. I'll comment on this one in detail when I get home to a computer; cell phones suck for typing.

If your were going to run this I would defo put some dual plasma in your farsight bomb. Having 14 fusion blasters is a bit overkill for anti av14. Really you want 2-3 suits with double fusion and then the rest with dual plasma. Make sure every suit has a target lock so you can destroy as many units as poss on your first turn. Also you need a way of guaranteeing farsight coming in on turn 2. If he doesn't you will probably lose. An aegis with com relay normally does the trick.

No no no. Farsight should rarely be arriving from reserves at all. You ally Tigurius, deploy, and gate across the board. 75% chance of rolling GoI. Again, I will post later.
Automatically Appended Next Post:
Ok, so, no one takes the Farsight Bomb anymore because SM libby's no longer guarantee Gate. It's also inferior and more expensive to O'Vesastar or a Grav Centurion bomb with Tiggy.
BUT, here's how it works:
First of all NEVER take a Farsight bomb from Enclaves. You need the Empire sig systems to make it work.
Farsight
Shadowsun OR Buffmander (I'll explain pros/cons later)
7 bodyguards with 5:2 ratio of plasma to fusion and target locks.
14 drones: If taking Shadow sun, they can all be gun drones, if taking a buffmander, you probably need 4-6 to be shield drones.
Allied Tigurius with some Scouts/Tacticals to taste.
Fill out support with Skyrays and Kroot. The whole bomb shabang is usually in the realm of 1100-1200 points. Way more expensive than most deathstars. Now, unlike most deathstars it can fire at a lot of things but you're still only going to usually be focusing on killing 2 units/turn anyway.
Benefit of going Shadowsun is Stealth+Shrouded. But, with all the ignore cover out there, I've migrated to the Buffmander camp. You mix in some shield drones with the gun drones to eat Ion Accelerator blasts and the like. Then the buffmander gives you a way more resilient platform for your all-important sig systems than normal bodyguards do. He's gonna be T5 with a 2+/4++ and FNP if you have the points. So he's hard to snipe out with TFCs or the like.
I'll dig up a list I wrote for a guy a while back asking the same question.
Farsight
Buffmander: Neuroweb System Jammer, Command and Control Node, Multispectrum System Suite, Puretide Engram Chip, Iridium, Vectored Retro Thrusters, Shields, Drone Controller- 200
Crisis Bodyguard: x2 Fusion, Target Lock- 67
Crisis Bodyguard: x2 Fusion, Target Lock- 67
Crisis Bodyguard: x2 Plasma, Target Lock- 67

Crisis Bodyguard: x2 Plasma, Target Lock- 67
Crisis Bodyguard: x2 Plasma, Target Lock- 67
Crisis Bodyguard: x2 Plasma, Target Lock- 67
x8 Gun Drones, 5 Shield Drones- 156
Kroot x10 w/ Hound- 65
Kroot x10 w/ Hound- 65
Kroot x10 w/ Hound- 65
Kroot x10 w/ Hound- 65
Skyray: BSF- 116

Secondary Detachment: Space Marines
Tigurius
x5 Scouts: Land Speeder Storm- 100

Total: 1847
That's an 1850 version.

So the O'Vesa Star is still better now that we also have Super Heavies and Gargantuan Creatures? I would honestly rather still play the O'Vesa Star, but how do I upgrade it so it can take down the D weapon models?

Well, no tournaments that I know of will be allowing Escalation. So then you have to ask yourself about your local meta. Will people be playing with Escalation and Stronghold Assault? Do people have the money to actually buy these things? If so, the answer is fusion. You may need to convert those solo missile suits we talked about to solo fusion. To compensate your scoring (as they will become suicide units) you may need to sacrifice a little firepower to bring more Kroot in those 2 allied units.
I don't play with Titans, but I would imagine poison/sniper weapons work on them so take sniper rounds on the kroot.

Thanks for your help with yet another one of my Tau lists, lol. So with my local meta, there will only be the occasional gargantuan creature or super heavy, but as long as they will be banned in most tournaments, then thats what I will base most of my decision on. I want to be able to participate in tournaments once I learn the game better. WIth that in mind, the O'Vesa Star sounds better for tournaments than suit spam? And what tournaments have already declared the banning of things from Escalation?

The BAO tournament tree and Feast of Blades (and all their qualifiers, obviously)
The NOVA tree is still the outlier. many many many events on the East Coast including 3 major tournaments other than NOVA use its mission packet, so they will follow MVBrandt's lead. My guess is, his comp will be more restrained than that of BAO/FoB's which is pretty substantial. So you may see Escalation either in whole or part, but we'll have to see. In any case if you're not an East Coast guy it won't matter.
As for your decision, know this: Play what you want to play, how you want to play it. The thing with the current tournament meta is, you have to constantly buy things to keep up, or have a really good, tight gaming group that allows each other to pool models and armies. Even if you're not buying a new army for an event, you'll be tweaking the list, swapping things out. Some things are viable for NOVA type event because of the large LOS blocker in the middle. DaBoyz has FOC restrictions, etc etc etc. It changes all the time. This is without taking into account the lightning fast release schedule.
Tau aren't even the best any more. They were on top for like, a second. Then Eldar came along and blew them away. Check Torrent of Fire, Tau win% is nowhere close to Eldar.
My advice to you is, stop worrying about what's super competitive. If you want to play Tau, great. Want to play Enclaves? Great; they're really fun, certainly my preference as Tau is concerned. But really, go learn the game. Go get your butt kicked a dozen times. Learn the RULES. First of 6th edition and your army, then for EVERY army. You will never compete at high levels if you aren't intimately familiar with ALL codices.
Simply, buy+build+paint something you like that plays how you like to play and follows RULE #1. (see below ;P)
Good luck.

I really appreciate you help! Thanks.
Since Eldar is really good, how can I defeat it with Tau, or in general? Just like in general what is it weak to? And what other armies should I watch out for and what are their weaknesses?

That thread would belong in the tactics section. If you post a thread that reads something like, "How to beat top-tier Eldar and Daemons lists with Tau" I'll comment on it, and so will a lot more people. You'll get more opinions than just mine that way too.
