Hey everyone,
I have been debating on how to paint my Eldar army since day 1. I have bounced between Iyanden and Beil Tan, but I have also played with a custom scheme using Dakka's army painter tool. Let me know what you all think. :-)

Another scheme for consideration.

The first one reminds me lots of Yme-Loc. They all do really, but the last one is significantly different.

Maybe - and this is merely a thought - you could try switching the grey with white? See what the schemes look like then.

I like the third, but also maybe see what they look like with some edges in that colour as well to break up the solid chunk of grey. Would have to do it as well with the white, but if you gave that a shot I'd definitely go with the third one then. Though maybe with the green dropped.

As far as the grey, I plan to give it a wash and then layer the grey on the plates for a little variation. I wanted to stay away from white if it was possible.

With the gun, what would you all suggest since the green is not eye catching?

Bone could work, perhaps even black up to you.

My original thought was to go with black and do some kind of accent to break up the grey/black combo. I am leaning closer towards using blue for the gun sight and gems if I go with the orange helmet. If I go blue , I will have to see what else I can add.

Green gems would work with the blue.

Thought about this one too, but am afraid it reminds me too much of Dark Eldar. Does it to anyone else?

Another scheme up for consideration. I am thinking this or possibly Biel Tan.

That scheme's the best of the lot. Apart from emo Ulthwe, space elves are meant to be colourful.

I like the last idea the best but it needs a third color for some of the details to really make it pop.

After looking at it, I was thinking the same thing. I was toying around with making the gems green and possibly the gun white.

Some more white and the right color green would really set it off.

Here is the color I picked up for the armor. It feels Eldar-like to me.

I like the first one. Orange really makes a model pop and is often underused. It has the most potential if pulled off correctly.

I saw this pic and it gave me an idea of how to paint my eldar. I was thinking of basing the model black and doing the blue on the plates and the helmet to help break up the black. I am thinking it will be enough to separate them from looking like dark eldar, but I am curious on what everyone thinks.

Think this, but black in the purple areas and blue in the white.

I had debated that quite a bit. My initial thought was that black would make the blue really pop.

A work in progress shot. Let me know what you all think. I am undecided on if I like it so far. My test model is a dire avenger.
