But some companies can't afford to hire a professional painter and since their sculptors are good n the computer they just multitask them to tweak the paint job with photoshop. They should just find a painter in the community who would like free stuff and go that route, but sometimes they just want a pic on the website fast.

it can also be a significant saving time wise if they need a 'painted' picture for packaging

you can theoretically have your box art being printed while the mini is still in the 3d printer queue instead of waiting for either prints (or even worse time wise) final casts

not ideal and I'd rather see actual painted examples (of the final cast) but I suspect we'll see more of it in the future

Those new models are much improved - the breachers are now something I might buy, instead of something I'd be horribly embarrassed by.

The quality really is fantastic from the level of detail to the material itself. Some of the best models I have seen. Kind of sad when this is compare to say.. finecast. Really none of the GW models compare to these.

I'm really surprised thought that there are no Daemonette models. The current GW ones are abysmal, so it would be amazing to see. I am also surprised there are no Eldar models yet. The current Eldar models by GW are extremely hit or miss. I can only imagine what many of the aspect warriors would look like (especially the howling banshees

)

It was work in progress. We'll sell this miniature among with some others in a few weeks.

They've been quiet recently because they've been testing their new 3D printer for prototyping and whatnot. The release schedule should be picked up again sooner or later.

That is fair. Technically the website is cheaper given exchange rates but I can understand how it can be easier depending on how you buy (paypal, credit card, etc). The advantage is I don't have to wait for ebay restocks or relists though, just buy whenever.

I asked about the status of those eldar models including both this banshee model and the warp spider one, and apparently they are going to be avialable some time early this month. Granted when they were revealed, they were apparently going to be available within a couple months. They look great though.
