Thought id show the working of the chaos army im doing i have alot to do to finish mostly the bases but heres what i got so far in progress
this is the start of my warriors of chaos khorne army, i wanted to use something like spartans and base it off of something youd see in the movie of 300. but the top guy is my tzeentch sorcerer on disk, if you notice he has a tentacle coming out with a spartan head on which is to show that you he use to be a normal sized guy and i wanted to show his demon side though all the weirdness so i came up with all these different and crazy things for his bod, below him is my daemon prince of khorne, i wanted a model that was big and look mad and just wanted to kill so this is the model i come up with.the model it self has his skin being stretched of to show that the normal spartan had grew with huge muscle.

Quick update
i finished my blood crushers of khorne as well touched up my Sorcerer and did a re paint on my daemon prince
now i just have to paint my warriors

And i do plan on adding more crazy monaters to the army when i find some cool ones.

Check out Warlord games have some 28mm spartan hoplites.

and for bases just check bitzstores there is usually plenty

really love the monsters, and a great idea for an army.

Since you seem to be basing on a budget, try pressing the tip of a bottle of white glue into the gaps in the edges of the cardboard and then squeezing a generous glob in to fill it. That should provide a low cost way to fill the whole thing up and avoid those cardboard edges.

Another method is to take some sand or basing grit and mix it into a bottle of cheap craft paint. The addition of that grit will turn it into a thick, sludgy concrete that you can use to fill the gaps easily and cheaply.


Good concept for the army, though, I'll give you that.

Great looking army, for the edges of the cardboard just fill it with some PVA glue and later paint it whater way it suits you. Paper will get some sturdiness and you will solve problem with gap.
