Just got back into the hobby after 15 years. Found some old Necron models and have so far completed one of my new Chaos Marines.

How did you do the base on the necron ones? i like the color.

Thanks, the Necrons were quite easy to do - black undercoat, drybrushed with Boltgun Metal and then picked out details with Space Wolves Grey (I think - was a while ago).

For the base I undercoated it black then covered it with some gravel/sand I bought at my local hobby store (think it's intended for model railways). I didn't get very creative with basing back then.
