Hi all,

I've been playing war games for a long time now, probably since around 1988. Mostly GW stuff starting with WFB but more recently almost exclusively 40k and Mordheim. for the first time ever I have in sight a fully pained 1K pt space wolves army. I've never posted anything to a forum before but thought some feedback would be good. I am only posting the finished models here. Looking forward to any comments and suggestions.

As this is my first post I am hoping the images show up right. We'll see if this is an epic fail.

Best,

Solid work! I like how the flesh tones is nice and light? Fits with the fluff. Keep up the good work and hit that painted army goal!

They look pretty solid, only piece of criticism would be the white hazard marks on the red chainsword; it makes it look like a candy cane

Hm, I rather got the impression of someone directing traffic or small planes at an airfield, and thoght it a clever way to represent the ability to split fire.

Anyway, solid work all in all. Would be nice to see some vehicles.

Loving the paint-job. Space Wolves always had a special place for me,especially the second edition Blood Claw sergeant with the raised Power-Fist. Jes Goodwin made the best GW mini's. Ever.

Got more piccies?

Kind regards,

Low

Thanks for all the great feedback. The candy cane comment made me crack up, and I completely agree. I don't think the airport candy cane traffic guy is who I want leading my heavy gunners to war, but you know...it's a union gig.

Here are some of the other parts of the army in progress. I've actually been using the wolf priest as a rune priest. I carved out the jaw and inside of one of the wolf helmets/heads from the kit then made the arcanum thing from other bits. I think it could use some green stuff to drape down from the sides like more of the pelt of the head over the chest a bit. Didn't want to prime this guy until I figured that out. Again, would love ideas.

Outside of these I've got a wolf lord on thunder wolf with storm shield and hammer (primed only) and about 14 more grey hunters (half have just grey base coat on armor only). Also just bought some scouts with sniper rifles which might make they way in somehow.

I would say they look very solid. Grey is a hard colour to play with and get it to look as good as your set.

Keep up the good work

Good thinking with the wolf hat, I did a similar thing for my first WP , just with an old regular chappy under the hat

Good job on those marines! I have to admit, the white beards and candy striping did remind me of the holidays...
