Recently, December 22nd, Chapterhouse Studios LLC stopped working with an employee by the name of Tomas Fiertek who lives in Sweden. He is also a sculptor and frequent poster to many discussion boards and goes by the name of Pyriel or -Pyriel. He also claims to be part owner of Chapterhouse Studios and has this on his Dakkadakka.com profile.

I was not aware of the fact that he was using the company name to hire out a sculpting job to one of our regular sculptors. Unfortunately he mislead this sculptor into sending him a finished miniature on January 2nd, and Tomas was released from the company on December 22nd. Unfortunately, the sculptor has not been able to contact Mr. Fiertek through emails since then and he considers the time and miniature lost or stolen. I am currently speaking with the sculptor and working with him towards a solution.

The sculptor has not seen payment from Mr. Fiertek or emails since he asked what address to send the sculpts to.

Please be cautious if you have any contact with Mr. Tomas Fiertek, he is no longer associated with Chapterhouse Studios LLC or any other company that I am aware of. Seeing that the sculptor was not paid for works delivered, I have my doubts on whether Mr. Fiertek has the funds to pay for future works. If there is any further information I will update this post.

Below are the photos the sculptor shared with me.

Sincerely,
Nick Villacci
Chapterhouse Studios LLC

So if we see someone selling the things in those pictures we should not buy them?

I think putting this is Dakka Discussion or News/Rumors would generate more traffic and inform more people.

The name sounded familiar so I checked my inbox and he (or at least a person with the handle Pyriel-) did contact me a few years back to ask information about the Philippines because he wants to transfer here (supposedly). I'm not accusing him of doing anything suspicious or malicious at that time but it did strike me as a bit odd to ask a stranger in the forums something that can be readliy answered by Google.

Anyway, to play the devil's advocate before the inevitable pitchforks and torches, any chance that this is some sort of miscommunication/misunderstanding on either (or both) sides?

Why would Pyriel- screw over a fellow sculptor? I kind of guessed that CH and he aren't friends from one of his posts but why would he let it out on another artist? Strange.

Wow, that's awful. I hope the sculptor can get this thing back somehow. They look really cool, too, I'd hate to lose something like that that I'd made. Really a bummer.

I browse miniatures sites and ebay for minis often, so if I see anything like that I'll PM you about it, OP.
