Last November I entered my Calgar in a painting contest at our local GW. That store is closing now, so I picked up my little guy to actually use in games.

I came in first out of about 25 I think. I thought I did a good job, but you never know til the voting ends. I don't have any delusions of grandeur...and I know there is evidence of a lot of sloppiness, but oh well.

Please forgive the horrible photography. I have a Pentax dSLR at home. Last thing I want is capture it in more detail, hahah. Plans for the mini are to strip it and repaint, now that I have some more experience. Since painting this, I've become *better* with my airbrush. Still frustrates the hell out of my sometimes, but at least I can get it to spray!

Thanks man! That was all done via brush. I spent WAY too much time trying to get my blends right and started running out of nights to work on the rest, so concessions had to be made. Definitely my best effort so far.

*edit* The first go-round I attempted a zenithal highlight approach, but I really botched that paint job and stripped it to start over, opting to do all the gradients via juicing with acrylics.
