I know there are a few other reviews an posts out there about the Crone and magnets, but I had a few questions about mine, so thought I would post them up.

I magnetized most of the kit, but the biggest chore was the wings, mainly due to the angles of mounting the magnets. Note: he is magnetized to be either a crone or a harpy, but I did not magnetize all the options, for the tail, and various spikes, I went with the ones I liked.

The Wings:
I used ¼” N52 grade magnets for the front mounting point, which are very strong, and help a lot.

For the rear mounting point, I used 1/8” x 1/16” N52 grade magnets.
(rare earth magnets are rated in strength by grade).

Magnets:
I get all my magnets from K&J magnetics.
The specific magnets I used were the:

And

Other magnets used were:
* Arms – 1/8” N52 (same as above)
* Guns 1/8” N52 (same)
* Spore mine thing – 1/8” N52 (same)
* Tentaclids – 1/8”x1/32 in the wing, and 1/8x1/16 in the tentaclid mounting base (same as above).

Note: the ¼” magnets used here are incredibly strong – normally I use weaker N42 grade magnets, but due to the angles involved chose to use the stronger magnets. The reason I don’t use them in other applications (razorback turrets, hammerhead bases, etc.) is because unless you have a good mounting point, the magnet can be stronger than you super glue.

Oh, and the weird colors are the fact that I "dip" my nids in minwax polyurethane stain, to get their final color transformation and make them look more slimy and organic.
This is the "pre" color, and the final result looks very different (which is why it took me forever to figure out the right color mix....but that is another story ....).

Anyway, here are a few pictures as well.
Best of luck!
