Hey Dakkanauts just posting a SM Chapter Ive been working on since 2001. Its Almost done!!

Ancient Text called the Umbra Raptorus, show First Chapter Master was Nykonna Sharrowkyn of the Raven Guard.
Current Chapter Master: Shadow Lord Anuri Lokos
Specialize in Guerrilla Warfare and deep-strikes at vital targets.
Home World: Carchadis Prime. Ultima Segmentum, Sagittarius Sector.
Artifacts include the Shadow Mantle the EbonTalon and the Falcon Helm.
Geneseed has same characteristics of RavenGuard, Older Marines have White skin and completely Black Eyes. Marines can "Wraith-Slip"
Motto: Mortis Desuper (Death from Above)
Notable Traditions: Captains hold the Title of “Shadow Captain”
Veterans and Terminators are Called “Black Talons”
Tactical “Raven Claws”
Assault “Storm Falcons”

Update on Shadow Falcons Chapter, Termies Almost done need to do detailing on Termie Helmets.

Here is the Assault squad, the Heart of the Army.

Now the Command Squad, Jump Packs and lightning claws

And Some Veterans, or 'Sternguard" depending on which edition you play.

I always like purple/bone(white?). The dark purple really makes the spot colours stand out. It seems you use red and white? I would like to see more bright colours where you wnat to bring atension to your detail. All I pick out now is the white part of their backpack. Perhaps make the eye lences more orange? Or highlight the armour with a stripe along the edge?

I really like the contrasting scheme here.

I imagine the colors of Astartes Legions have some significance, for the Shadow Falcons, the Bone is the Tearing Beak and Talon of the Giant Falcons that fly above their home planet, The Black is for the sure death they bring the Emperors foe and the purple for the color of fidelity and loyalty.

Niiai, The pictures are dark and don't show the blue highlights I have on the armor, however, I have been thinking more of a grey high light for the armor plates. Suggestions are always welcome. Next will be the Dreads

Its been since Jan that I posted any new work on the Shadow Falcons Chapter, Here are the Dreads.

I also Finished a very important part of the Army, the Landspeeders, as a Raven Guard successor Chapter, the Shadow Flacons utilize the hit and run abilities of these machines often.

Finally, for Heavy Support the Devastator Squad.

I remember seeing Shadow Falcons in a White Dwarf Golden Demon article years ago (1990s), always thought it was a great scheme, so it's a nice blast from the past to see some more.

Yep, gotta give credit where credit is due, Mark Boardley made up the Shadow Falcons Chapter in the 90's (WD 189) he was a Golden Demon Runner up.
