Ok first off the actual points amount is 1863 for the Battle of Stones river tournament. I did really well at last years event with my DE (losing it in the 4th round to the overall winner :/ ) The crux of my decision is on whether or not to include some Eldar allies....

So here is my familiar all DE list:

So the big difference is the lose of a venom and the ADL to add in the Jetseer, the bikes and I actually net another blaster and another AT wyche squad.
Both lists have their strengths (and the lure of not having to convert a jetseer is strong). Just wanted to hear some more thoughts on the matter.

The aegis forces you into a static formation, something any good dark eldar army should not be... Go mixed

I have been using the Aegis since 6th came out, and it has never forced me into a static position. I often run the wall from my deployment zone to the center of the table to give the beastpack and baron 3+ cover for the entire distance.

Now there's a use of the ADL that I've never thought of or seen.
Not sure I think it is worth it, but a fantastic little surprise.

Its helped in a number of situations where, otherwise, the beastpack would have been annihilated. I.E. vs another venom spam list or vs a tau gunline. In both those situations the pack used the aegis as a spring board to get into the enemies lines relatively unscathed and take out a suprising # of unit and making the game a lot easier to win.
