Well the urge to pick back up with my Mentors has hit again, this time I am simply starting small as to not overwhelm myself with so much to paint and build. My first steps are to build and paint a small 1,000 point army and then build off of it. After reading what fluff there was on the Mentor Legion I have decided to try and build a multi-role flexible army. Pretty much an all around army that should be rather fun to play at such a low point level. With such a low point value starting off there leaves a lot of room for low point costing units to really shine. But anyways, I know you want to see pictures so here you go! Also, I will try to expand on the fluff of the Mentor Legion as much as I can while still staying in bounds of what they already have. But, it seems to me a lot of their fluff flip flops.

Really cool so far. I like the scheme you're using for the scouts, and those are some cool helmets as well. I always wondered why vanilla scouts don't wear helmets...

Thanks! So far I am trying to build up a few HQ choices that can represent Kantor (Nisk Ran-Thawll) and a few others. I haven't fully decided on my main chapter trait I want to use so in the mean time he just simply counts as a captain with power fist, storm bolter and storm shield.

A few fluffy tech pieces I want to add into the army to represent some war gear would be a sort of personal power field generator like that of the Dark Angels. It would count as a storm shield, but modeled as a back pack from the grey knights intercept squads. Though not sure how to still convey why the model never gains +1 attack even with a free hand, I think I will just stick to specialist weapons so they never would gain 1+ attack anyways.

Any other ideas feel free to send them my way!

Well I have been painting a bit, mostly working on that captain you see here but also for an added treat I decided to work on some Death Watch as I figure I can work them into any army I play for allies or just simply another sternguard unit.
