Hi Guys!

It's been a While since I submitted something to my gallery on CMON. Hopefully this will make up for my lost time.

This is one of my favorite miniatures ever made and I really tried to pull out the stops on it (I could have done more but I chose not to for the sake of my tastes)
I really enjoy painting NMM as well as appreciating other NMM works and one thing has always eluded me.......painting convincing steels.
This is where i really considered HOW to do NMM steels/irons/silvers etc because this model NEEDED it!
In contrast to my usual style and strong presence of the flower knight i went for very rough/rustic/real/rusty effects on the base.
Trying to show the dirty dead pollutions of industry being given new life by lush and lively warrior.
His cloak is an abstract from Hieronymous Bosch's "violent forcing of the frog" a piece and artist which i thing really relates to the Kingdom Death atmosphere
I hope you guys like him as much as I enjoyed painting him

Wow! Amazing!
I am a bit disturbed by the freehand on the cape though, although it is incredibly well done.
Just like everything else on this mini.

Guilliman and the Ultramarines are like Manchester United, everyone hates them because they are so awesome!

Well, I'd say your musings paid off... and then some. Had I not come in knowing it was NMM, I'd have sworn up and down that it was artful glazing over metallic paint. It "reads" more like satin polished steel than any painted effect I've ever seen. Seriously impressive work (the whole piece, really - there's a lot to love - but that steel effect takes the cake, for me)!

Beautiful paintjob, and excellent freehand. However, I just can't stop seeing goatse on the cape.

But seriously, amazing job. I've had this model for a year and I'm terrified to paint it because I want to do it justice!

What an immaculate, gorgeous mini. The longer you look at it, the more awesome things you notice. The NMM jumps out immediately as does the cape freehand, and then you notice how masterfully the glass eyes are done. Then you notice the butterfly. And then you notice the base itself.

Guys like you make me realize I have so much, much, much more to learn and it's inspiring. Thanks for posting this, man. Excellent work, and you should be proud.

Good grief... amazing. The steel is beautiful and the reds spectacular. The painting on the dress is beyond words.
The paint job is beyond inspiring and into terrifying...

The only things that don't seem up to the level of the rest of the model are the leaves and vines. Seems like the greens could be younger and brighter if "...being given new life by lush and lively warrior."

The centre of a massive brood chamber, heaving and pulsating.

That is a masterwork of a model. Words cannot express how amazing that is. The only problem is the model itself- it's a nice figure, but there's something wrong with the arms. They seem to hang from sticks.

Have to say I really don't like the model but that is the best NMM I've ever seen. The cloak is also amazing - in fact the whole paint job is amazing.

Good grief, that is stunning! It's so vibrant but full of subtle detail.

I do have one question: I find it a little strange, especially given your description of the "lush and lively warrior", that even though the knight has such bright colours on him, the grass on the base is brighter and "healthier-looking" than the greenery that seems to be growing off the warrior's back.

Beautiful painting. The nmm looks fantastic and the contrast with the warm red and gold is lovely.

It disturbs me how good this miniature is. I don't know what it is, or who you are, sir, but you have my unending praise for this superb work.

I'm now off to destroy all my miniatures, for they are not worthy,
