Knight Models just postet this beauty on their Facebook page.

Oh, and Wolverine too.

Yes it is going to be a Miniature Game of Superheros, we are in testing time... soon it is going to appears at the end of the year

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I'm in love with this. The 70mm miniatures from Knight Models are wonderful, but I don't have much interest in painting miniatures that are so much larger than anything else I own and can't use in a game. I love their Batman line and I can't wait to see what's next.

I'll just keep the 1st page updated for new readers:

Uh oh!

And I was considering unloading all of my Knight Models Batman miniature stuff...

If this system is compatible with that one (and why wouldn't it be?) - wow!

Of course, the Batman stuff will be somewhat 'underpowered' compared to the Marvel stuff, but still - wow!

Just when I thought I'd almost got all the gaming minis I wanted, and was closing in on my long term, phase two goal of just buying bits and pieces for display.

Their Watchmen miniatures also come with rules for the Batman game, don't they?

My thoughts exactly. I've managed to resist the Batman and LOTR ones so far but it's not like I can't buy these.

Well, I managed to resist the 70mm ones because I wouldn't be able to survive the basepaint process without an airbrush and their price.

Right now, I believe I can resume everything down to a single word: Feth.

Hmmm, torn on this.

Iron Man is a character I've got no real interest in but a really nice model (even with obligatory foot on rock).

Wolverine is a fave character of mine but not a great sculpt.

Ahh who am I kidding - it's Wolverine, I'll be buying it.

That Wolverine sculpt looks pretty ace to me...

These are great, and I really enjoy the idea of a Superhero game. I'll be picking up quite a few of these releases rather than the Batman one, which doesn't appeal to me in the same way. Good stuff.

Really? It's all the upper body and arm musculature - it looks more like Colossus than Logan to me. And the more I look at it, the less I undersand what the crease above his pecs is supposed to be.

But hey, I'll still be looking to buy it.

Agreed. I think the sculpt is good, I think the paint job, while technically good, is too 'comic book' and clean for my tastes. I would (will) probably go for some less saturated colours, perhaps even an alternate costume colour (although I know the yellow and blue is traditional) to try and make him look more grounded in reality rather than lifted off the page.

Plus, for the scale it is in, it is really quite nice!

I'll be keeping an eye on this, even if it's just for display.

I've held off on Batman for now (Prices are a bit steep for me), but this may be the tipping point.

Didn't they also release a Man of Steel model at the back end of last year? If so, and if there are comparable rules, I can finally prove that Thor beats Supes... And then Bat can own everyone.

Sadly, didn't Superman knock out Thor in the JLA/Avengers crossover?

No idea, I've not seen that crossover. However, it's irrelevant whether or not Superman could knock out Thor, as all Thor has to do is drop his hammer on Superman and he can't lift it. That gives Thor time to call up the Hulk and the fun can really start.

Damn it

If only they were 28-30mm scale like the rest of my mini collection I wouldn't have any hesitation in buying them even at big prices.

How do the batman minis compare size wise with hasslefree infinity etc?

Even if they don't scale right I'll have to pick up every wolverine mini they make :(

They pretty much are?

They just aren't grossly 'heroically proportioned' (ironically enough)!

Time to google for a batman size comparison pic methinks, it shouldn't But it will bug me if wolverine is taller than, the modern 28/30mm minis I've got.

I'm not sure, to be honest. I recently painted a 35mm fig for a friend and it towered over my 40k/DZ/lotr stuff. Might not be an issue, though, as these guys, fluff wise, are generally pretty large. I can easily see the likes of Thor, Colossus, The Thing and such fitting in fine. ,

Found these

At the moment their looking too tall for the rest of my collection. If I wasn't so OCD about wanting my collection to be similar scale then I'd have a geekasm and buy everyone of them.

Though as paradigm said for the very tall guys Thor Etc might not be an issue unless their 40-45mm because the normal guys are 35mm

I was just able to resist DC... not so sure with Marvel. If Deadpool shows up, the urge to do a Deadpool/Harley team up might be too great, especially if there is a traditional Harley not the Computer game version.

Oh wow I've only just been holding out on the DC minis but with Marvel I'll have no chance and if both games are compatible which I hope they are

I'd think that if there is a person "worthy" of wielding Mjolnir it's Superman.

You mean this one?
Spoiler:

I'd say, giving his popularity I wouldn't be surprised if we saw 'pool among the first 10 hero miniatures.
