Saw this when I googled Emperors champion and thought it was pretty cool. I am guessing some of the bits are from the warhammer line? I couldn't tell where and some help would be great cause I would like to put my own spin on it if I can identify the pieces and where they are from to locate other compatible pieces.

I think most of the parts are from the Forgeworld "Sevrin Loth with Honour Guard" pack. Legs and left arm are from Sevrin Loth, Torso and Helmet from the Honour Guards.

Agreed, it seems to be mostly parts from the mentioned Forgeworld set. The right pauldron is also from the HG part of the set. The brass shield is from the BT Etched Brass set from Forgeworld and the sword looks like it is from the BT Emperor's Champion model.

I thought the sword was off the Emperor's Champion model, but it doesn't say "Imperitus Rex" on it. It's possible the guy who converted it somehow filled in those gaps and etched in new words.

The conversion has the other side of the sword shown in the picture.

And here I thought it said the same thing on both sides.
Definitely the EC sword, then.

Oh man I was afraid this was gonna be a expensive build, but sheesh a freaking sevrin loth? I can get the torso and sword no problem, but do you guys have any suggestions for the rest of the model so I could build a cool poor man's version? I think the main ones would be the legs and pauldrons.....any suggestions there?

Well, the conversion in the first post has the company champion style shoulder pads from the sevrin loth set- so you probably just wanna get the "vanilla" company champion pads from someplace like ebay. As for the legs, there is a set in the new Sternguard box with a similar pose.

To be fair, there are worse purchases than the Sevrin Loth kit. A little boit of cutting, filing and filling and you've got aplethora of useful bits for the whole army and the basis of some cool conversions.
Alternatively, you could search bits sites and ebay for the Loth body. It occasionally comes up for anywhere between £7 and £15 on this side of the pond.

Oh one more thing, any suggestions for the right arm? Would I need to do some cutting or is there and arm already out there I could use?
While true there are worse things than a sevrin loth, here in the States a single one by itself goes for about $35 and that is without the honor guard. Which is way out of budget for me.
Just wanted to thank you all for helping identify this conversion and helping me pick out parts to build my version of it, you guys have been most helpful!

Oof, that's a hell of a difference, hadn't anticipated that.
Regarding the arm, I can't think of any that come posed like that so you're probably looking at doing a bit of cutting to get yourself there. Best of luck with your project!

thanks sockwithaticket
Just got a question for the sword hand, how difficult will it be to clue the sword and pommel to the hand? The sword doesn't look so bad, but the pommel looks like a pain. Any thoughts on this? Thanks

The person who did that conversion used Sevrin Loth's axe arm for the sword. It still has the lower haft as the sword's pommel.
I know you said earlier that this "would be an expensive build", but honestly...if you're wanting to build that style of Champion and also wanting to build a Command Squad?
You could do a lot worse than actually shelling out for Sevrin Loth and Honor Guard.
The set comes out to roughly $63.97(currency exchange as of 9:02 pm) without shipping.
$35 of that is the actual Command Squad plastic boxed set, of which you get in the Loth+Honor Guard set. The rest is Loth and his Honor Guard's resin components, of which there are quite a few that can be used for any Chapter since they have no Red Scorpion insignia.

I see your point, but that's over $70 of money I don't have to build one figure. I have a few pieces that were given to me, so I'm gonna work with those. Though I did not consider building a whole Command Squad from it. If I had the monies that would be really interesting.
