This is the first model in an Eldar army I plan on painting. It is inspired by John Shaffer's Alaitoc army from the 5th edition rule book. I'm not a fan of the canopy's, so any comments or thoughts are welcomed.

I am really liking the colors. The yellow and the blue-grey really tie in together. The canopy looks fine to me. What ever makes you happy, is what you should go for.

That's really cool, love the stippling effect, that must be /so/ annoying to do over the whole of a vehicle, especially with an area like a Fire Prism. I also absolutely love how you've done your crystals, it looks like there's energy building up at the end, but the bone-coloured canopy isn't for me. If I were you I'd have made it a glossy, tinted black, blue or red because these are the different lens colours for anti-flash/infra-red etc. and would make most sense colour-wise and real-wise :3

I think an orange tint for the canopy would look cool.

The stippling wasn't actually as bad as I thought it would be. The great thing about stippling is that you don't have to worry about making a mistake. For the canopy I'm not a fan of the blue since I think it will blend in too much. I may go with a red or black. I'm going to try a few things this week and see how it looks.

Maybe make the canopy yellow, switching the spirit stones on it for a dark blue? It'll keep the Alaitoc colors, and still make it pop out big time from the rest of the tank.

I think a black colour would make it look awesome, and make sure it doesn't clash with your spirit stones and keeps yellow as your spot colour :3 Also, I'm not talking dark blue, I'm talking fluorescent blue a bit like this, if it's something you can achieve: http://cdn1.coresites.mpora.com/whitelines_new/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Dragon-APX-Snowboard-Goggles-blue-Review-2012-2013.jpg

Use tamiya smoke painting the canopy from the inside unless you have no drive then go for completely black look with some bluish or turquoise highlight. Paintjob looks grand

Got milk?

All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...

PM me if you are interested in Commission work.

2 little things you might consider..

You need more contrasting colors on the model. The yellow gems really don't do much for me. Yellow to white doesn't have any sort of glowing effect. I'd make them green or red.

Second.. the canopy needs to also be a contrasting color. once again, i'd go with a dark green or dark red and have it be the opposite of the colors you use on the gems.

Technique wise.. You did great. Especially on the gun.
