Just finished my Abaddon, I have been painting for a couple of months, and this is actually my first attempt at a face. Let me know what you think !

MOD edit : I've re-angled the picture for you.

The mouth looks a bit silly, since it's just a really big piece of white - he isn't a Hollywodd actor, mind!
Apart from that, I think it looks very nice

Thanks! I see what you mean now about the mouth, think a light wash of Agarax or nuln oil might do the trick to grimy up that smile?

That might work, because right now his fancy smile is quite distracting!

Nice gold, rich reds, awesome sword, weird face xD
Could do with some highlight on the black as well, for my Black Templars I just use a line of Eshin Grey and it makes them look so much better

Yeah black highlighting has always been a struggle point for me, takes me forever to get it right, remember that on my Black Templars haha

He uses Crest whitening strips. All the bad-asses do. Very good work on that model. Please post more.

Just forgot what I was going to say.

Alpha males tend to be good looking with those million dollar smiles. I love it! Great representation of Abby.

That's rather nice indeed

I've reangled the picture for you so it's easier for people to see.

In general showcase is for 100% finished models, which does include the base.

However it looks like you've painted the base black so one is assuming that you're intending to leave it in that state -- which is fair enough. -- and will therefore leave it here.
I would recommend putting some flock, snow etc etc on there though.

YMMV of course.

Hit the MOD alert button if you want this moving to the regular P & M boards or perhaps the painting blog section.

Oh and keep up the work too
