The sword is great - lovely variation of tone.
However the photos are quite grainy & make the other parts look not so great. Can't tell if you've drybrushed the cloak or it's the picture quality.

Great looking model. My favourite plastic character as well. You've really done it justice! He looks just like he's been woken from his tomb.

So this is how I did the rust on the sword
1. Base coat of leadbelcher
2. Then a heavy dry brush of Ryza Rust
3. Then I stippled parts of the blade with Ryza Rust in a heavy random pattern( I used some pictures of rusted swords to help out with the randomness)
4. Than I stippled parts of the blade in lead belcher to look like some parts of the blade were not heavily rusted.
5. Light dry brush of lead belcher followed by nul oil wash.

That sword is absolutely great! I suspect it'd be even better looking if the pictures weren't grainy but even now we can clearly see that the rust is glorious! =)

Loved that guy - takes me back over 20 years ago when I read that series!
For anyone not familiar this is some artwork featuring Lord Soth:

He is really a nice looking model, the first pic didn't really give any justice but it might just be that I'm on my phone but the close ups really bring out the details and I think you did a wonderfully fantastic job and definitely did the model justice I really like the rust on the sword and chainmail how did you achieve that? Just with paints or did you use pigments w/e it is you did an excellent job at that too keep up the good work it's far better than I could mock up

Imagine getting cut with that sword? Die of infection within hours - assuming you somehow escaped the Undead Lord, of course.
