Greetings Dakkanauts!

I've only posted here a few times, but I assure you I admire all of your wonderful work quite often. With winter came more indoor hobby time, and lately I've been painting those crazy war machines that I never really get to play with, so they lived low on the painting to-do list. Some may recall that I do the freehand NW coast Native American art on my imperial aircraft.... so I present, my finished (though I may add more) Marauder Destroyer! I have used it in a couple games, and never with distinctive paint scheme, though I'm pretty impressed with the latest rules (after changing like 3 times in a year), with strafing run and the bomb clusters.... very fun stuff. Anywho, thanks for looking, hope you enjoy!

Very nice free hand designs, especially the symmetrical design in the center, I have particular difficulty painting/drawing symmetrically.

I don't like the white though, it seems to wash out any detail and breaks the model up needlessly, it looks almost unfinished because of it.

I'd add a few squadron markings and numerals onto it as well, give it even more character.

That looks like the native "Wolf" Symbol up here in southeast alaska. I approve

Thanks all!

Indeed! It's actually a very light gray, but it definitely looks too bright and flat, I've been trying to decide the best way to tone it down without smudging things.

Thanks! This style of art definitely lends itself to tattoos, with the bold lines and colors, and excellent contrast.

It is indeed.... this kind of artwork was historically used from Alaska all the way down here to Seattle, with slight variations in style depending on the tribe. I was going to make matching eagles on each wing, to be like the imperial aquila, but decided to mix it up and put a wolf/dog because I like dogs.

Love the Northwest inspired traditional indian artwork. I haven't seen that done on any 40k stuff before. Very nicely executed. Good job!
