For my first Army, I'm building a Tau army from the D'yanoi sept, the colors I'm using:

Reaper Miniatures- Templar Blue
Reaper Miniatures HD- Ice Blue
Reaper Miniatures- Twilight Blue

Vallejo- Flat Black
Vallejo- Sky Blue
Vallejo- White

Point wise, I've assembled about 30% of the army and painted 12%. Still need to varnish, highlight, and add sept detailing to this 12% + basing which will be done last. This army is for 1850 pts.

The main color of the armor was inspired by the a Seiko dive watch my parents bought me for graduation, and the sept colors came from the movie, Final Fantasy, the Spirits within, from the Deep eyes unit. I have some fluff written about my army, and I'll list it in a few days once I go back and edit it. Here's the pics, the crisis suits and DF's still needs minor touch ups:

It's been a while since I touched my tau models with a brush, I got distracted playing blood angels, but now I'm back painting for the greater good! I redid a bunch of the tau logos and smoothed out my painting on some of the crisis suits and reposed them a tad, and also picked up some new models. I have a TON to paint still, but with school starting back up again, I probably won't finish this army until probably February if things go well. Still to paint: Riptide x1, Broadsides x6, Forgeworld crisis suit x 2.5, Marker drones x6, finish Ethereal, 3x devil fish (build and paint), Hammerhead, shadow sun, 6 stealth suits, 15 pathfinders. Some of the models below still new finishing (looking at your forge world suit) but most are varnished based etc..
