Hey guys, so im about to start painting my new GK army and i have this inclination to not paint them grey/silver like the norm, more so i want to paint them dark grey, like a burnt grey if not lighter shade of black.
i want to do this because i want this to be a inquisitorial GK army. i know i know GK's dont paint the armor they wear but this is going along the lines of that the armor they wear isnt silvery grey when there isnt paint on it, more like its a dark grey light black when there isnt paint on it.
what do you guys think.

I like the idea, like ceramite isn't metallic? cool theory.

Maybe you could do something dark like Eshin Grey mixed with a tiny bit of leadbelcher to give it a small hint of metallic.

I always thought that ceramite would be more ceramic than metallic so it could work they could be any "earth" shade if you think along those lines as the clay used in ceramics varies from country to country and even by as little as a few miles within said country's, we get a very dark brown clay near us

See thats exactly what i was thinking....like i know this is far fetched...buttt think about when they featured adamantium in x-men, when they were going to put that in logan http://imagensgratis.com.br/imagens/imagens-adamantium-2af8c3.jpg
so in my mind, in terms of GK's, it would essentially be the same idea.so that's exactly what im going to do tomorrow....i just am going to sit down i think for about i guess 20-40 minutes to try and get the right consistency !! i think im going to start with a matte black, then slowly add more and more metallic silver, and to finish the mix i will then soften the shine with a matte grey and add that until i have the desired effect
Also idk if this is where i would post pics or whatever but i started modelling and priming my models the past two days
so far iv done my cork bases for all 10 GK's with metal wire sticking out from the bases. Also i have added a modification to my justicar by taking a hammer and another hammer and cutting both, then i took part of the shaft from one of the hammers and added it to the first hammer extending it for extra length. then when i was done i had it mounted to the back of my justicar under the backpack. oh and lastly i took the sword with the demon head through it and cut the sword right off on both ends...then i laid it on the base of my justicar, then placed my justicar so he was stepping on the head oh the demon(they are demonhunters after all )

so i lll post the progress with the color i use.
p.s. dont hate on the excess green stuff i will smooth it out with a knife and file later!
