So I had this idea: what would attract all the cannonballs and nastiness and leave the rest of my army alone? A gigantic dragon, of course! And yes, my Elf Lord is glowing.

That is one impressive centre piece!
Exelent paint job and flawless symbiosis between dragon, rider and base.
The only thing is the thing in the mouth. I would have thought it was a tounge, but its painted like fire,
giving me a weird clash of senses, like its a slimy piece of fire crawling out of its throath. (im exaggerating to make a point though )

All in all a great piece of work!

Clearly the whole thing is awesome, but that glow on his underside is truly astonishing!

I was torn with the possibility of actually hollowing out the model, putting in an orange LED, and then replacing the segments of the belly with clear resin. But then... no.

It's a ForgeWorld dragon. Infinitely better than the Dragon sculpts at GW's studio.

Awesome paint job!
LED's might have been really cool on this, why didn't you do them? Too much work with all the wiring and soldering?

I need to take some better pictures of it. Maybe that'll be my project for today.

I didn't do the LEDs mainly because I don't really have the experience or the tools to do the clear polyester casting resin for the chest. I'm going to try a few things with another model in a more forgiving project to get it right, and then I might revisit that concept. I have a FW Chaos Dragon coming up...

I really can't even put into words other than this.

One of the best realistic reptilian skinned dragons I've seen, bravo!
