So my buddy was building his along side me and wanted to do some modifications to his (Using both mounts near head for the Heavy Stubbers, not including the hour and a half he spent sawing the leg joints to make them pose-able) Anyway, so I gave him my second heavy Stubber, threw on his shield in return, I plan on dremeling them out so it's more symmetrical.

But to solve my problem of needing 2 Heavy Stubbers for WYSIWYG for the Paladin variant I took the heavy stubbers from my Baneblade kit, slapped them on the sides of the reaper chainsword, Boom instant Gunchainsword of sweetness.

Thoughts?

I prefer the original placement purely on looks, but in my opinion the heavy stubbers would quickly be rendered inoperable there though. If the chain sword is being used in a slashing motion then if the gun mounts could handle the forces of being forced against whatever is being cut then the barrels would end up bent at least, debris would also jam the guns up by entering the ammo feeds. If the chain sword is used in a thrusting motion the barrels will again end up either bent or at least clogged with debris.

I like it, but I think you have 3 heavy stubbers on it now. Isn't that a heavy stubber on the gunshield with the repeating cannon?

I like it but as was said, those barrels on sword just doesnt make sense. They would bent or broke in first slash, emperor forbid if he thursts some MC

Yeah, looks funky, but thoroughly impractical, and you have one too many heavy stubbers.

A similar idea, but with the heavy stubber mounted flush along the back of the chainsword would work better.

It looks like the ammo belt could get caught in the teeth of the chainsword. It's a neat idea, but it needs some refinement.

When it comes to practicality, few designs in 40k fit this description, anyway.

Not feelin' it.

I'd have left them where they were.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Weirdly enough, my first thought wasn't that I didn't like it because of impracticality, but that the shields look odd due to being asymmetrical...
