Hi all, it has been years since I´ve had the time to post, but I was recently asked to paint one of these for a local store, so they could have it ready for the release. This was painted over a 12 hour period immediately before the release.

There are still minor details that I´d like to change, but I think it will do okay as a tabletop plus standard model for display.

The kit itself is an absolute joy to work on, all the imperial specific bits are separate, so if someone wanted to convert it, they´d find it really easy.

All of the major bits can be assembled separately which makes painting waaaay easier.

I painted it using an airbrush for all of the big stuff, and then detailed it up with brushwork. Decals were added, and a quick basework to finish it off.

The base has not been edged yet.... :(

Hope you like it.

(Edit)
PS. I should note, that I´ve painted the knight to be a "Knights of Taranis" machine.
According to the paint schemes that I´ve noticed so far, they seem to be red and black now, but since the original fluff in "Mechanicum" states that they are a midnight blue, I´ve painted this one as such.

There may be some really good explanation in the new books, as to the color change, but I´ll be having mine blue.

Hey Xanthos!

The Knight looks amazing! Great paint job, and the leaves on the base are a nice touch.

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Thanks guys.

I´m looking forward to doing a few more of these later, with more time to work on them.

This kit lends itself well to airbrush work with the lrger plates, I did a lot of fading on the shoulders, carapace and shin pads. Not sure how well it shows in the pics though...

I know that some people have complained about the size of the kit, but I really think it looks impressive on the table.

(Also, being a fan of Imperial Knights from way back in epic, I was thrilled to see these released.)
