Hey guys I have a tournament coming up at the end of next month and need some Warrior Acolytes for my GK Army.

I need the follow:

14x Bolter Acolytes
4x Plasma Acoltyes

I am not very good at modelling so it needs to be easy enough.

Let me know if you have any ideas, please keep it to gw range.

You are running hotshot lasguns right?

the easiest way is to just use IG and paint them special (red black gold for inquisition stuff)

Other conversion ideas are a mix of IG parts and fantasy kits like men at arms and the flagellent kit.

Though it seems plastic is coming soon. you could also use the metal storm trooper models which have hotshots and plasmas.

I used some Renegades for my AM (fill the Chaos markings with GS). I guess Cadian Las-pistol arms are not that rare on ebay. GW sell some plasma-guns for Space Marines, though those from the command sprue are better.

Cultists would probably be the cheapest way to go. You should be able to pick up the autogun guys pretty easily and convert the autogun to a bolter. Heavies or just more autogun guys could be converted with plasmaguns.

Obviously you'd need to do some work removing chaos insignia but most of them would port over pretty easily as redemptionist types or pressganged Cawdor gangers.

Well I have 5 of the Houss Delaque guys, I would love to get more of them, but they are soo expensive.

Space marine scouts would work. You could pretty much use them off the peg with an inquisitorial scheme and maybe with the odd head swap.
Finding some ig or sm plasma guns would kitbash nicely.

For quick and dirty acolytes I use cadian torsos with catachan legs. I then use what ever arms I can muster together to get the right weapons. Then just put your favorite head on them to differentiate them from regular guardsmen

For bolters I recommend you pick up cadian grenade launcher arms and space marine bolters. The are two methods to this using the same bits.
a) Cut the hands off the bolters (if you have the older bolters that only have handles then this will be a lot easier) and cut the grenade launcher away from the hands. Use a nail file to ensure a flat surface at bother cuts. Glue the arms and bolters onto to the model so that the left arm appears to be holding onto a handle coming out of the bolter while the right arm is on the handle of the bolter. Its best to do this while the glue is a little tacky so it will support your bits while you re-position them.

b) Basically the same as A, except you cut both the hand and gun off of the grande launcher arm and keep the hand on the bolter bit. This is a lot easier if you are not that experienced at cutting bits as you can ruin the bolter if you cut to much off. Then assemble as before, when you are finished the right hand will be larger then the left but its such a small detail most will never notice.

I've used method B, and will be trying out method A myself when I finally get around to assembling my acolytes. Here is a pic of a test model I did.
