Right guys and gals, ive been toying with the nihilakh dynasty style for a dwarf army i want to paint but not sure if it works or not c&c needed please.

It looks very "Thor" to me but that could be the hammer skewing my perception. The paint scheme works, I'd look to add a darker color somewhere in there and you should be good to go.

What dark xolour would you recommend? Im pretty knew ro all this painting malarkey lol.

I agree with darefsky. Another application of dark wash (devlan mud or null oil) on the metal parts could help him define better.
Also thin your paints more it will help a great deal with highlighting.

All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...

I thin my paints right down. They are to a skimmed milk consistency. The pics do make it look a little more rough then it is. Ill try and get some clearer images.
