Here are the first models for my new High Elf army. I really wanted to paint them the way they're portrayed in the artwork- somewhat ethereal and almost glowing. I also didn't like the gigantic helmets on the Phoenix Guard, so I swapped the heads with Wood Elf Glade Guard hoods to make them look more like the monks that they are. The base on the mage isn't done yet.

The Elves look really cool, too. It's a slightly different scheme to what you might see elsewhere, but it works really well.

However, that dragon! I'm afraid that is such a show-stopper it may be all any of us look at.
