So I converted and painted this fellow up for my personal forces. All in all I'm quite proud of the result. I plan on posting a full process thread in the P&M section when I can, detailing the modelling and painting.
Enjoy

What a nice job! You know, sometimes when I convert something, after I paint it, it seems like a bit of the effort is lost. Does that make sense? What I mean to say is it is OBVIOUS you put work and sculpting into this. And it looks great. Good job on that conversion. Base looks great also

Thanks man! I know what you mean. Sometimes you've done such an awesome conversion you just don't want to ruin it with paint! Haha.

That is awesome! Did you have a picture reference or did you just wing it. Either way it is just wonderful.

I referenced from a few pictures, mainly the few found on Lexicanum/WH40K Wiki, but mainly I just winged it. I tried to use the Horus Heresy books/stories that referenced The Lion as my guides (most notably/recently The Unremembered Empire), hence the weird pattern on his left shoulder which is supposed to be a "Hexagrammatron" (whatever that is - I just did 6 points and then some extra lines, haha). I'll post a long thing about the creation/inspiration when I'm not doing any uni assignments/keeping up with work and I have some spare time.
