Saw this in Adepticon photos.

Looks nifty.

It seems like it is a "miniatures board" that can be played in a rpg style game or a game with pre-set game with stats.

digging through the comments the have a base game and expansion plan for kickstarter (June-ish or July-ish), With plans to have skirmish rules down the road.

Interested if the rules are good.

I'll keep an eye on this but looks like a more wackier version of Malifaux.

With this being one of Sebastian Archer's (Guild of Harmony) puppies the sculpting of the miniatures will be guranteed to be awesome.

endtransmission made a great topic about this game post-Salute, copying it over here! Thanks endtransmission

endtransmission wrote:I'm surprised I've not seen anything about Twisted in the Salute 2014 thread. It looked cool, so here's a new thread with everything I can find about it.

The guys from Demented Games were at Salute to demo their forthcoming Adventure game, Twisted, and had some miniatures, a board piece and some game cards on display. Sadly I didn't get to try out the mini demo, so hopefully someone else can fill in a bit on how that works...

The game is set in a steampunk inspired London that is secretly controlled by the omnipresent machine called The Engine that aims to make society perfect; by any means necessary. The Engine controls cities through Nodes that are powerful artifacts in their own right, granting whoever controls them immense power. Queue fighting over the nodes with other gangs as well as against The Engine. Besides the steampunk contraptions, there are a number of alchemically enhanced beasts in the world as well as some sci-fi elements.

This game look ever so pretty with it's beautiful boards as you can see below.

The boards represent the sewers, catacombs and tunnels under London as well as various buildings within the city. The one pictured above is apparently one of the larger board pieces, so you can imagine how big a level could become. The game has been designed to do one off games (if you really want to), but they said that it is best suited for campaign play in a league, with the ability to level up and re-equip your party between games. From the descriptions it sounds like Mordheim on a board and should be pretty easy to modify to play on a 3d setup like the new 4Ground fantasy building that were being previewed at Salute too.

Last, but by absolutely no means least are the rather pretty models!

This will be getting a September launch on Kickstarter, so there is plenty of time for more information to come out about it. There were flyers out at the event offering a bonus model (Bill Psykes) in the kickstarter if you sign up to their mailing list and enter the show name where you saw the game. Certainly worth doing as he is rather nice!

I can see this being rather easy to enhance with Malifaux and IHMN models too.

well colour me surprised! The site search didn't bring this thread up when I checked before posting!

Also... as this is news of a forthcoming product, shouldn't this be in news & rumours? I'm an idiot!

But we are in News & Rumors, right?

And yeah, I've taken to using google and adding "Dakka Dakka" to searches, or just doing Ctrl-F on the first few pages of N&R, as the search function is being worked on at the moment.

They were handing out some few pre-production samples, and I can only say that they are amazing. Not only is the sculpting really awesome, but the quality (even for being pre-production) was spot on as well. I also got the opportunity to have a look at some of the concept arts and they look indeed promising for collectors, painters and gamers. These guys will really have a winner here I hope!

Geeze. I fail at reading today, sorry! I was convinced this was in the board games section for some reason *face/palm*

According to one of the Facebook posts they are currently considering a print and play demo version before the campaign.

I also missed this image of a snake lady on the facebook page. some good little stories too

We'll find out soon enough eh.

Oh wow, these look very interesting. When can we expect more model pics?

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

This is it as far as model shots so far. They do have a facebook page called Twisted-Game that has a few more sketches and some stories as well. That'll be where the announcements hit first

And rightly so... it's an amazing piece of work.

They had a bunch of concept art on display at Adepticon which all looks very cool. It's loosely based on Oliver Twist, but looks like they'll be adding in a bunch of steampunked-up characters from all over the place.

Definitely one to watch out for...
