I just finished painting up some Plague marines with a Sorcerer to go in with them, I haven't based them yet because I am stumped on how to go about showing some kind of taint.
I imagine the effect being that the ground withers, plants die etc etc. This is a particular pain because I have snow bases (how do I taint snow?).

Anyway, does anyone have anything with a similar idea or theme? How did you do it? Pictures would be appreciated. I am really craving inspiration.

Here's some of the things I've used, most of it's moderately straight forward but ask if you want to know how to go about doing somw things.

You could use agrellan earth on the base to produce a cracked earth effect before you put the snow on with something eerie/ominous glow eminating from inside. Also body parts sticking out, chaos icons carved into the ground and glowing etc.

The ooze and slime works pretty well. Something luminescent is definitely the look I want. Thanks guys.

I thought to do angrellath earth, but with some unnatural colour under the paint.

Fleshy growths, slime, and lack of/dead foliage is the way to go.
