Nicely done! I'm not sure about the purple on the melta gun and the webbing of airgun black lines is a bit heavy in places but it's 3000% better than I can do myself.
I'll agree that the price-tag is steep. It's a $140 model; I can't see paying more than 100% over the cost of the model for pro-level work...at least I don't pay that much.
Best of luck!

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do |

Very cool paintjob, agree the purple clashes oddly. Funnily enough the model shouts howling griffons rather than space wolf to me.

Nice work, I would:
-Add more variation to the melta weapon, the straight purple is too much.
-Thin the paint on the whites.
- Use more variation in the red on the weapons.
And for the camera settings:
-Max aperture
-Min iso
-Change shutterspeed accordingly.
Also, Im not a big fan on the color scheme of the wires, having some black, some green, some blue, etc, is aesthetically displeasing.

Resin Printer (minaitures) is a 4K printer with one of the largest build volumes available for a resin printer (192mm x 120mm x 245mm) with an amazing .01mm resolution! This professional printer is one of the best resin printers on the market!
FDM Printer (terrain) also has one of the largest build volumes available for an FDM printer (400mm x 400mm x 450mm) and has an amazing ,05mm build accuracy.

Nice work. Although I agree with the price. You are gonna have a hard time selling a knight painted to table-top standard for such a steep price.

tabletop with non metalic gold and metal? anyway I am glad for all your valuable comments! I agree with the purple... about the price except from the cost of the item you must understand how the costing work. first of all what items has been used. The way that is painted and technics that most of the painters dont use often. final you must add the time that took me to paint it... even the ice isnt common or the snow that I used or even the weathering of some transfers like the one on the last photo. Anyway some of the comments realy help me even if I don't agree! Automatically Appended Next Post: Ryan_A wrote:Nice work, I would:

Let's start with the positives;
The base is well done.
NMM on the face plate and gun shield.
Battle damage.
Now the negatives
There's at least one section I can see where colour has bled onto another area (right shoulder with aquilla the yellow is on the edging and on the Fleur).
There's also purity seals that you've just painted grey and left.
Heavy Stubber barrel not drilled.
The straight purple looks unfinished and a poor man's representation of heat staining.
Even one of those immediately drop the standard to tabletop, added together the standard can never broach anything other than tabletop and personally don' qualify the price increase from $140 stock to $450 painted.
The photos don't help either as many sections are blurred/out of focus.
Also I'm wondering why the other metal sections don't appear to be NMM, just black with a metallic drybrush.

The problem with trying to sell, especially at an extra 220% cost, is that you are assuming someone wants that specific scheme, and those techniques you are charging for, without actually doing a commission. I'd honestly suggest going the commission route for anything that big, I can buy an entire army for that (on ebay or new), or 3 knights.
Also...I'd agree with table top. Many parts that should be flat metal are not (pistons, etc). I'd also change up the color on the multi-melta looking gun(spacing the name). The stubber barrel is also not drilled out. It's a good looking model, but not paying an extra 220% good.

Oh please don't get me wrong! I like the model!
When I meant "table top" i meant there is a lot of shortcut techniques used in this model that I consider table top.
1) The weathering. I am a big into weathering techniques. You opted to use sponge chipping, which is a much harder technique than most people think. What I mean by this is, with the Sponge technique its easy to get a good result, but hard to get a great result. If you choose to do inlaid colors (2 colors) on your chipping with this technique, stay away from applying the second color with a sponge. Always inlay the second color carefully with a brush. Streaking with oil washes will help you sell the effect much better. A good combination of dark brown, black and Engine grease Abteilung Oils will help you with this on your next project.
2) Become a friend with oil washes. A lot of the details lack severe definition. A simple pin-point application of good quality oil will help you with this problem.
3) A lot of details were skipped. An example is the hoses that go to the helmet. For a model in that price range you expect extreme attention to detail. If I did this model an expected to sell it at that price, I would have spent 2-3 hours on the hoses alone!
4) Your color variation on the main scheme is a bit bland. It might be the pictures that don't do it justice, but that's my impression. The use of good quality, finely pigmented pastels can help you create some color nuances to make the model more intersting and create some focal points. Blue and purple pastels would have been my choice.
5) OSL. It is a technique everybody expects at this price range. It helps the model stand out a lot if done correctly and not overly done.
6) The thermal cannon is lacking definition. I would recommend working a gradient from blue>purple>brown>black using a combination of pastels and inks. Some fine edge highlighting can help you bring some definition to the tectures after you work your gradient.
7) Edge highlighting. Now this is a personal choice. But Imo it can really compliment the model and bring sharper definition to details and the complexity of the model.
Hope this helps. I like the model and wouldn't hesitate to field it. Keep working hard at it. Re-strengthen some techniques and don't expect to spend less that 150 hours on a single model if you expect to charge that much for it!
Regards,
Chootum
