He looks real nice. Always loved vostroyans. In terms of c&c, I'd say the model is a bit dark. Maybe add a few spot colours just to brighten it up a tad? Brighter purity seal parchment, and glowy plasma perhaps. Also the coat looks a bit plain compared to the rest of the model. I'd say maybe paint the trim(on the cuffs, and on the inside) in a contrasting colour. Would just liven it up a bit. You could also give the hat a quick dry brush with a lighter grey, again just to make it pop a bit more.

Hope this doesn't sound like I dislike him. It's a very neat paintjob, and I like the colour choices. I also like the conversion. Took me a while before I noticed you'd ditched the derpy little swagger stick.

Is he part of a larger force? I'd like to see more. Keep up the good work dude.

I have one more vostroyan painted (he's got his own thread) and the conversion wasn't my work, I got the model from a friend and when he got it it didn't have the stick. As for the coat, can you suggest any colour? I can't think of anything I have that would work as a contrast without making me feel sick.

Also, what do people think of my early concept of my vostroyans "Heat blades". The idea is that they are nothing more than power weapons that get extremely hot, useful in the winter combat zones. I'm just not sure if I've got it right, or how to improve it.

Maybe add some greenstuff to the blade to make it seem like fire is actually coming off the blade. Not sure if that is the look you are going for though.

So, I have since added more colour to my commander (Red of all choices) and re-done the power weapon. Unfortunately my commander s packed away so I've had no pictures of him, but what you do think of the new power sword?
