hey guys, i have a few questions on making scenic bases for my lizardmen army. ive experimented with a few diffirent options, and im not having alot of sucsess. what i would like to acomplish is a water base with rocks, plants and so forth in a "swamp" enviroment. so a greenish olive color tint to the water, but keep it clear and not looking like slime.

i would also like the water level to be decent height, as i plan to have some of the models standing knee deep in it, and so on. simaler to the image below, witht he ater level and its height. i cant seem to get it that high, without looking chunky, and i certainly cant figure out how to get it smooth like that. i have tried making both plasticard and tape combination moulds, but the watereffect im using (woodland scenic realistic water) just leaks out. - that and making it perfectly square is prooving tough. any suggestions would be welcome.

(image attached is NOT mine - i found it on a google search. not sure who owns it) - its just an example of the kind of height and style im going for.

I'm on my phone right now or I would find them for you. Google handcannononline.com with water bases. Also I think Meg Mapels did a tutorial on her website as well.
