Hey everyone, for those of you who have not sold all your armies, bought three different warmachine factions, gone back to third edition, or started crying in the corner talking about how great 5th edition was. 7th edition is launching soon!!! I have been super duper excited and it needs to launch now so I can actually get back to doing my real life stuff.

But anyway I thought I would share some events that I know are coming up including some live stream stuff and if anyone is doing some special internet 7th coverage they can post it here, or if you are not planning to buy the book right away this will give you a opportunity to learn about a lot of the big changes that came and decide for yourself if its worth it.

Some positivity is really welcome!
The 240+ page long thread has done a good job of killing my eagerness for this release. (though there are good constructive comments sprinkled here and there on that thread)

I will tune in at 7!
BTW, I just learned about your youtube chanel and just subscribed.

LOL I am not affiliated with either of these guys, I just figured I would share!!

I have spent many an hour listening to both of these grounds and just by watching their games I have gotten SO much better at playing the game and realized that a lot of my problems were in regard to my player skill more so than the rules.

Im sure miniwargaming. . .
https://www.youtube.com/user/miniwargaming
Will be giving a steady stream of coverage and opinions as far as 7th ed goes.
I'm sure they'll also be doing several battle reports with the new rules within the week it releases.
It's all videos, not so much streams, but it should still be a good source if you want some early 7ed entertainment.

Thanks for this. I've been avoiding the forum due to the annoyingly vocal downer brigade. We'll be having a farewell to 6th bash but we'll probably tune in!

I'll likely be putting together my own commentary on it, likely some time Saturday night or Sunday morning, and tossing that up on my website now that I finally have it up and running.

Tomorrow I'm going to be doing a birthday party, then after all that entails going to the "release party" at the local GW store, pick up my copy, browse through it, sleep a bit, go back to the GW store to get in some games Saturday, and it depends on how late I get home Saturday night because I tend to stick around and chat with guys after the store closes, and we'll probably be discussing our thoughts on the game. Sunday I'll be playing even more. So somewhere in there, I'll write up my thoughts. I kind of want to write my pre-impression, and then my thoughts once I've actually seen the book.

My local GW store is staying open till midnight to sell the rulebook. Which is unprecedented, as far as I am aware.

This probably has a lot to do with the fact that they're closing the store soon. So the manager is all about breaking the corporate rules.

The GW store here stayed open until midnight to do the release of the new Space Marine codex as well, with a party for that one, too. I think the company is fine with late nights when you're doing it to promote and sell one of their bigger money-makers.
