It's a goodly lone while since I bought my Forgefiend just because I liked the model so much and I wanted to get a Heldrake just because it too is such a cool model in my opinion (even if some people seem to have a bad time with players spamming them). All my Forgefiend does is guard my house keys though and I'm still going to a Heldrake 'soon'!

What sorts of colours will you be using? Will this Heldrake be aligned to any specific Legion/Renegades or will be it a custom scheme?

Can't wait to see him painted. One piece of advice I would give is to take your time painting it
Heldrakes can look awesome if done properly, but too many of them end up looking monochrome. I won't hijack your blog by posting pics of mine, but feel free to check it out in my gallery. I know its not exactly golden daemon quality but it did win a first place in a local gw store painting comp.

P.s I know what you mean about the forgefiend... I have both that and the mauler, they look great but are pretty useless in game.

Thanks I will be taking plenty of time I really want him to look awesome I hope to enter mine in a local gw painting competition when he is completed and as for painting scheme I am going for...so far I will be doing a strong layering of blue colours 2 for base coat and 2 for Calador Sky with some highlights and the bronze around the trimmings both dark for base and lighter on the layering I haven't quite figured out the rest yet I had a look at your Hell Drake he looks awesome I can definitely see that he won first place I really like what you did for the base using spare parts to give him a really ferocious look I will upload pics at different stages so that you can see once I figure out what other colours I will use I appreciate the tips

Thanks I will make sure to take extra care in that case I have started the first layer of the base blue colour so he has got at least a little bit of colour to him will keep you updated as and when I am painting him

First two layers of the base colour blue is finally finished just starting the first base coating of the bronze for his trims will post a pic as soon as the base painting has been completed

Yes you do spy terminators with a terminator lord sorcerer which I will get to after my hell drake is finally finished thanks for all the compliments the next layer for the blue n bronze is going to be a lighter colour in both

The next update may take a while because I am working on building other models and painting others all at the same time as this making everything take much longer lolz
