Wow.. the sons of perturabo seem to be very popular here.

Ok. C&c.... the hazard stripes are a little uneven, but you'll find they get easier with practice ( I should know. Lol)
Also the paint seems a bit thick although that could be the picture. The use of chaos warrior heads is excellent, my next IW squad will have the same heads. Other than that my only criticism is the bases. I.m.o grass just doesn't suit chaos marines, thats just my personal preference though. Have a lookIin my gallery at my own iron warriors bases. They were quick and easy to make using broken slate and bbq ash.

Anyway nice work dude.

Thanks tomcat,

This is only my second batch and I can already see the improvement from my last squad.

As for the grass I figure that they have assaulted imperial grounds, and just my opinion it gives it more of a contrast. But you are right they would look better with some wreckage under their feet

As a fellow Iron Warriors player, I'm glad to see you use Chaos Warrior bits too!

Mold lines everywhere >.<
The execution of the majority of the paint word is top notch, the hazard stripes however look flat and as noted above are uneven. Additionally the paint, again as noted, looks thick especially on the hazard stripes.
Static grass is best used in moderation otherwise you end up with what looks like models wading through grass cuttings.

Thanks guys, any tips?

With the hazard stripes, start by painting the whole area yellow. Then paint your middle line first. Take your time to get that one line straight and even. Once you've done that, its easy to use that line as a reference to get the next one straight. Then once the black lines are straight, go over the yellow again a few times. Once everything is straight and neat, go over it with a sepia wash then highlight as required. The sepia gives the yellow a dirty appearance , and can be left out if you prefer a cleaner look.

Thanks again I am grateful you took the time to look and for the tips. I do have a hard time with the mold lines, anything for that?

Yeah. Just use a sharp blade to carefully scrape them away. Place the blade against the line you want to remove, and at a 90 degree angle to it. Then carefully scrape away the excess plastic. Make sure you scrape away from your body/fingers though to avoid cutting yourself.
