OK, so this is how I'm going to paint my chapter. I wanted a dirty look like they had been fighting for a while. I also updated the fluff. Hopefully this blog will keep me inspired to get through this project.

The Purgation Hounds were created in the late 40th millennium from Salamander gene seed to combat the increasing threat of the Tyranids towards the Imperium. Following the tenants of the Prometian Cult they are very self sufficient upon their fortress monastery the "Barghest". The chapter uses flames and hellhound type creatures in most of their decoration. Battle reports have shown that the chapter shows a willingness to fight and utter ruthlessness on the battlefield, usually with no regards to collateral damages. This is believed to be because they are a young chapter and eager to prove themselves. This is also shown in their battle cry "Give us prey, and we shall hunt".


(Also, this was my first test model, I didn't bother cleaning mold lines much.)

Here is the Chapter Master Chiron. I experimented with his base doing a more urban rubble style, but I like the muddy look better. I kept him clean and just changed to base colors to reflect how he hasn't hit the trenches yet.
