I bought this tank as a start for my new death korps of krieg army. I tried a few new techniques and think the model came out great. I was a real blast to paint this model.

Let me know what you think about it.

Thanks!

beautiful weathering on this armor!

i found it curious that you painted the tank and the tracks separate, but it worked out fantastic

I always paint my tracks and tank seperate. Its easier for me that way and I get the color I want without worrying about spreading over. Just me anyway. How did you get the blue hue color in there? What paints and colors did you use, do you mind telling? It is a beautiful model. Well done.

Very beautiful paint job, it too prefer painting tracks separately. You can stick them to a box or paint them on a sprue and be as messy as you want. I think it makes it quicker. How did you stick the chain down all across the turret without getting solidified glue everywhere? Or is it loose.

very nice. I especially like the treads. They look quite used.

Beautiful weathering. Great job overall!

I am not a fan of the chain on top though. Doesnt look like a chain that the IG/AM would even use. Other than that its great!

Thanks all!!

I used a couple of vallejo model air paints. This is the order of colours used.
1) burned umber
2) spots of orange rust
3) AK interactive heavy chipping fluid
4) black
5) german grey : french blue 3:1
6) step 5 : white 2:1
7) step 5 : white 1:1
8) use lots of water to loosen the chipping fluid
9) with a medium drybrush go over the whole model, creating rust spots.

I painted the tracks separately because I used a lot of pigments and airbrush to get the tracks that way. If I glued them to the tank I would get all the pigments over my tank which I didn't want.

I glued the chain on 3 spots where it connected to the tank. Just enough to not break off the tank.
