Saw the WIP thread and was wondering how you were going to handle the painting. Definitely like how you've extended the effect to his gear, as well. Really pushes the living/dead dichotomy to the forefront, whereas a split face, alone, might get lost in the shuffle. Well done!

The Dreadnote wrote:But the Emperor already has a shrine, in the form of your local Games Workshop. You honour him by sacrificing your money to the plastic effigies of his warriors. In time, your devotion will be rewarded with the gift of having even more effigies to worship.

Thanks everyone! My main concern was making him too "busy" with too many effects, but having enough to know exactly what was going on. Had somebody say it was much easier on the eyes in person since you could manipulate it. Really happy with how the head turned out, as it was really the biggest modification. Thanks again!

That is truly an epic transformation. I only wish the divide line was a bit brighter green.

All in all, brilliant work!

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.

I paint things occasionally. Some things you may even like!

My only gripe with this model is that it gives the feeling that he is transforming from undead to living, while I assume you intended it to be the other way around.

Having said that, the paint job is impressive and the effect is great!

No, Brother Michael, that was actually the intent. I figured if there was a skeleton up and walking around, that'd make the most sense.

Clever stuff, and well executed. I don't see a mortal wound though, which I feel would add to it

Million I can see that, though I'm not quite sure there's room for it. I was rather concerned with it being too busy as is, especially with the head meaning to draw all the focus. Maybe on a larger scale kit like the zombie dragon? Might make an attempt at it.
