More about it over at BotLS: http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2010/01/40k-news-where-has-inquisition-gone.html
Doubt they'd be dumping them altogether - it's such a huge part of the 40K universe, the Inquisition.
Edited for clarification.

They're bad and only bad tournament players play them. That's why they need to be squatted. Automatically Appended Next Post: Marushi wrote:With GW trying to insist on not using 2 codices for 1 army, having 3 for 1 army is a step in the opposite direction if I'm honest.

Now ladies, remember, argueing on the internet is pointless. Even if you win you're still... [altogether now]

yes, you're still on Dakka and they will still be arguing.

Howlingmoon,
I believe they have 3 codices, Black Templars, Blood Angels and vanilla Marines. God knows how many others. I'm pretty sure that the BT codex and i'm sure the new BA codex will contain all the information required to play your army list from one book.
Having 3 inquisition books that can ally together is daft, and exactly what GW is wanting to avoid. Can you imagine playing against someone who has to cross reference rules or how a piece of wargear works acroos 3 codices, never mind just 1. 3 books is stupid and imho, very unlikely to happen.
Also, I emailed GW before I read the threads here about things disappearing off the site, I'd intended to get a new DH codex, as I've lost my old one
Got a reply yesterday, saying that GW is "no longer intending to sell the Daemon hunters codex" and that they are planning to put it up as a download on their website in the near /distant future (can't remember exactly what the email said here, can't access it at work) .
Looks like time to shelve my Inquisitors.

...Why would it be time to shelve your Inquisitors?
They're doing the stopgap that they did with the old Blood Angels codex--updating the current(3rd edition) codex to play more in line with the newest rules sets.

If they give the two armies a Blood Angels-style pdf update, I will publicly wet my pants and proclaim my love for Games Workshop. I suspect, however, they will not.

How could you be sure?
If they're "not intending to sell the Daemonhunters codex," would they mean that edition or in general? Although, if GW was Squatting a whole faction, wouldn't they hold a press conference or something as opposed to just slowly pulling them off the shelves and hope no one notices?
I don't know, but I think it would be silly to take out a popular and not THAT broken army.
Plus, they couldn't just take out the codex and have it "replaced" by a series of related armies. What about Inquisitor Coteaz and even GK? They couldn't be included in the BA, BT, and vanilla books.

True...
However, the Inquisition is one of the main armies in 40k, isn't it? Weren't the LATD and Genestealer cult more of smaller divisions of armies?
I'm not too sure about LATD and the aforementioned cult though.

Could be they've just run out of stock of the books, & plan to update them soon-ish, so it's not quite economically viable to print up another run before the update (I can't imagine the Inquisition codexes sell in vast quantities).

My recently purchased Stormtrooper squad hopes for this. Or the online FAQ style update.
As long as they're not getting discontinued, I'll be happy as a pig in pewp.

Sounds right to me.
