Frostgrave is reading up really nice as a game.
The simplicity of the rules coupled with the combinations of what you can do, lend complexity of no small order.
Never seen it played.
I have all the books so I just need to buy a few used undead GWFB sets out there.

Bolt Action is getting more time lately at the FLGS, I am slowly getting my Americans in order (they are an unruly lot).

Infinity seems to be the Sci-Fi. game of choice, I am seeing a few guys with awesome terrain playing at the FLGS lately.

This Saturday my friends are roping me into 72nd scale WW2 gaming with the "Command Decision - Test of Battle" ruleset.

I swear I have played more different games in my 40-something years than I did in my 20-something... this is a good time to be a gamer!

Agreed, its a great time to be a tabletop gamer.

My Big games are:

Malifaux (always solid)
The Roots of Magic (an interesting tactical game of wizard duels)
Epic Armageddon (love this game to bits)
Kings of War (love the freedom to use what fantasy minis I like)
Just picked up Guildball too, so who knows...

I used to play quite a lot of different games in my early 20's although virtually all of them were from GW. I play about the same number of games now but only 1 of them is by GW (and that was abandoned well over a decade ago).

Right there with you but for me it's teens/20's vs 30's.
Before my 30's I played 40k and tried Necromunda, Battletech (technically a boardgame, but still...) and Combat zone onece.
In the last 5 years I've probably played close to 2 dozen and at least 6 have made it into regular rotation. Still play a GW game a few times a year, but it's now Necromunda (love that game).

Just played "Command Decision: Test of Battle" WW2 72nd scale tabletop.
I really liked it.
I daresay an almost "elegant" ruleset.
Usually large battles are like watching paint dry.

The last time I played a miniatures game was a game of the Star Wars Miniature Game.

At least they get some action sometimes.

Quite the variety.
Good stuff.

2nd edition 40k??
I just started playing 40k about in the middle of 2nd edition as they were about to release for 3rd.
My friends insisted on playing the original Rogue Trader a fair bit during 2nd edition.

Too many distractions to shake a stick at.
Judge Dredd: love the "fluff", game is not bad, a bit goofy in spots: what is there not to love?

X-wing, well... out of the box and you go.
Pretty as all heck and no shortage of people to play.

Problem is: the weather has been too nice lately to think about being inside to play (shock/horror I know!)

Here's hoping my most played game will soon be 15mm Kings of War with the wife and maybe one of my buddies, as soon as I get a pair of armies done. Nice slick ruleset, and 15mm lets me just use a 3x4 table.

That and some Necromunda-sized games of 2nd edition 40k.

There is not this idea.

Either KoW or ancient style stuff using the one hour wargames book. I'm glad I found the latter, because it's let me get in some gaming with my dad, who normally doesn't have the patience for the more complex rule sets.

My "group" is small, and busy, so things like Kings of War, which are easy to pick up and very forgiving of proxies, well, they just fit perfectly.

Since GW turned 40k into massive models/flyers game rather than squads and then did a similar to WHFB with End Times, I've tried out and played loads of games - and spent loads of money on great figures too.

So far I've been playing; Bolt Action, Kings of War, Deadzone, Frostgrave, Open Combat, Blood Eagle, Saga, Maelstrom's Edge, X-Wing, Zombicide and Iron Cross.

As for #1 played?
Well I guess the most played is X-Wing with my 10 year old lad - he loves it.
With the wife, it's Iron Cross.
With friends? Probably Zombicide (or the weekly D&D session)

I am sooo grateful to GW for doing what they did to 40k and bringing out AoS. I never knew so many better games were out there, even if the models aren't oversized or filled with skulls.

My Painting Blog: http://gimgamgoo.com/
Currently most played: Silent Death, Xenos Rampant, Mars Code Aurora and Battletech.
I tried dabbling with 40k9/10 again and tried AoS3 - Nice models, naff games, but I'm enjoying HH2 and loving Battletech Classic and Alpha Strike.
