Wow, those all look very, very cool. Again impressed with stuff coming out of MaxMini.

kendoka wrote:These gas masks have large rims with really small lenses making them feel more like goggles on harsh environment masks - which on the other hand is cool.
This said, goggles should be closer to the centre of the face (as the eyes must be centered in the lenses - in opposite to normal gas mask lenses).
I hope the final versions will have the "goggle pieces" touching each other in the middle (above the nose) ala normal binoculars - or bigger "glass" areas.

I agree with most of this, but it doesn't ruin the models for me. They might be better if the eyes were slightly closer together, but it doesn't look as awkward as it would if a human face were disproportioned, and they seem to match similar styles on some Plague Marine heads.

I would still happily buy them either way.

is it just me or do those heads absolutely scream grunts from halo?

I'm a fan of the backpack. A little too steampunk, but I think if I were to use these, I could trim off some of the offending bits.

Suroritas was the first thing I though when I saw the backpacks. Slap a Fleur de Lys on it, and there, you got your celestians.

Glad you like those in general - thx for the comments.
As for biohazard helmets - even though it hasn't struck me when I looked at them I can see your point Kendoka. But IMO if they were closer on such wide helmet IMO they would look awkwards as well , at the same time loosing the strange tech look. I'd simply assume that those are not goggles but some sort of sensors that collect data and dsiplay image on a screen in the helmets / directly on the eyes of the wearer.

But getting back to new releases. I'm still not happy with the photos but I couldn't stand further delay on commando heads so here they are:

Luckily tomorrow a fellow photographer should visit our studio and will re-do the photos (and he'll take pics of the painted ones as well )

What was the ETA on the backpacks? I've been accumulating items I need to buy from you guys....and they're pretty stunning. With the quality of the AA turrets I bought, I'm sure these will be just as good.

Not that different to me. Would look great on witch hunters...

@targetawg: I think it will take a tad more than a month. A lot depends on shipping issues - how fast they'll reach me .

Maxime "morbäck" Pastourel has sent me an update on the project:

Love the diving suit style helmet - it's so hilarious!

In a meantime Robert Kurek has finished working on a fun project - zombie haeds. Braaaaaiinsss!

I should have those in a webstore in 3 weeks time .

A good friend of mine has a wolf guard terminator made big daddy style. Last I heard, he's still trying to get his hands on the drill from the plastic killa kans to complete the look.

I'm liking the zombie heads. If you could also do a set of skulls, they would make good Orky bosspole ornaments.

Depending on the size of the zombie heads, it would AWESOME for Zombie-guard, or maybe Deathguard.

Wow so much new cool stuff since I last looked! Once those Anzac heads I'll be putting an order in. Question though, wikk the minigun support weapons ever be available as just a carriage kit? Miniguns are cool but I reckon they'd look smart with a heavy bolter on them too.

Those zombie heads would make great, great bare plague marine heads.

Wow! Got to admit I haven't thought zombie heads will get such follow up . Thx guys!
Just got the package with the bits from Maxime. Biohazard heads and gothic backpack are even better than on pic. Heads are going straight to molding , while we'll upgrade the backpacks slightly (correct the angles etc).

Anzac heads returned from some gentle facelifting (in this case it should be called rather "hat-lifting" ). If all goes well I'll be able to make master molds tomorrow and add them to the webstore during the weekend.

I love the Zombie heads, I think they would look great for Scavvies!

The Biohazard helmets are great as well, would prefer more of the diving helmet style over the rebreather ones though.

I agree with that. I would actually recommend you get at least two versions of that on the sprue. It is just too cool.

Reminds me that a set of deepsea diving helmets would be a great idea, e.g. usable for Nurgle Marines.

I've just made first casts of the Biohazard Heads set. Damn, I'm really happy how they turned out. I look forward for the next Maxime "Morbäck" Pastourel creations .

While FreakForge is having some personal issues I've asked Jarek Smolka to add extra details on the new jump packs sets. Here's what he came up so far (but note those are still wip).

If Jarek will keep his insane sculpting speed we'll have those ready for moulding by the end of the week.

In the evening I should be able to add Anzac heads to the webstore . Just need to check whether new production mold is ready .

Any update on when the custom backpacks you linked a couple pages ago will be ready, the steampunkish fire/brazier ones?

I've been waiting to make a purchase until those are ready to just lump things together, getting ancy!
