Love old-scool Necrons. The core of my army is 30 warriors, a Lord, 10 Immortals, and 5 Destroyers, all circa 2nd edition metals. Old-school GW is awesome.

Huge fan of the second incarnation of Noise Marines that looked half daemonic. Those guys are awesome. Shame I've decided to part with mine and I'm getting rid of them on bartertown...but they'll never get painted up, and somebody else should enjoy them.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

sternguard and vanguard vets! The new plastic for those model s are great and yet the OOP versions still kick their styrene arses.

This is an awesome mini...

And this is one of my favourites, an Eldar Ghost Warrior from 1987..

Every single model from the 2nd edition Eldar range. I like the Dreadnought and warwalker the least, but the entire Infantry-sized range just screams what I loved about 2nd edition's art style. remember when all the studio-painted Eldar rocked back banners?

I am building an Eldar army at the moment, and other than the Dire Avengers, I have made the effort to get all the other aspects, rangers, and characters for it in the 2nd editions metals.

Lt. Varras from the Battle for Macragge boxed set. He's such an amazing little model. Compared to the rest of what you got in that box (other than the scenery) he was the best mini in there, either looking incredibly amazing painted or absolute gak.

The old Raptors are way better than the new ones IMO. I like the new ones, but not as much as these guys. They just look and feel like they can jump at you and getcha.. like a raptor would. Also the jump pack design looked and felt like they were relic marines from 30k, and the helmets, and.. I just can't find something I don't like about these models other that the smoke on their feet. And assembling them, just one was an absolute to put together.
Spoiler:

There's old-school Alien "inspired" Hormagaunts..
Spoiler:

Bad-arse House Escher ladies from Necromunda. How I wish I could have the dreadlocked machine-gun lady, because THAT is a mad model!
Spoiler:

Speaking of Necromunda who could forget our good friend Klovis the Redeemer!

And his dedicated servant, Deacon Malakev! Who is unfortunately in his Slaught-induced state in this model..

They had other models originally, which you could order with the black-and-white version of the comic book. I don't know if you could order them with the coloured version or in WDW when they first came out, as I entered the hobby right when 4th ed came out so I had no idea what was going on back then.

As much of a fan as I am of the Redeemer, I own none of the models. A pity!

Those demonettes, I love them so much more then the new ones. I don't like how they made the new ones seem banshee-like
and whats with the one bewb? What happened to all that excess? :< back in the day they used to have several!
-lol-

Also if you try and find those things on ebay... they cost a fortune. Their just much more sleek, feminine and well, for not being pose-able I find them
much nicer then the new ones, it was a sad day to see them go.

Although as an old-timer, I have to say that those are actually the second incarnation of Raptors. Mine are these old guys from 3rd edition:

The Eldar walker in OP's second picture is very awesome - totally Giger-esque.

I'm loving the new SM models... however the Tallarn Desert Raiders were a personal fav.

Harlequin Jetbikes - I own 30 of these bad boys.

The models from Advanced Heroquest were awesome too. All of them.

All of the original Nurgle and Tzeentch Daemons, and the Chaos Warriors/Champions from the Slaves to Darkness and Lost and the Damned era. Some of them still blow my mind.

I wouldn't say "best" but one of my favourites is the original plastic Imperial Guardsmen.

^ Those are cool Fifty. I can honestly say that I've never seen those before and for that I'm ashamed.

I like the old Commissar Yarrick with the huge crap claw. I have him and he will be going with my Steel Legion.

I also love the Praetorian Guard, but sadly all I have is a Lt. with a chainsword. Unfortunately I did not get into Warhammer until a couple years after they came out in 1997, by 1999 there were not a whole lot of them around since they were a one year specialty.

Another and probably my favorite is the Solar Macharius model. Another model that I have and is in need of a make over.

Some of my favorites were the old Ork Tinboyz. They were goofy-looking, but it fit, because, "in-universe" the orks made their robots to look like, and make fun of, their enemies. It was so great to see how the orks viewed their foes.

The panzies are all skinny with pointy heads and pointy ears. The stunties are short and fat. The beakies have got big shoulderpads and little heads. I expect they made them all walk around in irritating, mocking walks too.

"Hurr, hurr, hurr. This is how you walk, stupid beakie. Derr, I love da emperor! Purge the alien! Hahahahaha!"

I've got a few of these. I just need to find a couple more and field them as a unit of meganobs (slow and purposeful, shootas, and power klaws).

One of my favourites has to be this one:

I was lucky enough to get given one in near-mint condition for free; a guy at the club was leaving just after I started attending, and as somehow I was the only SM player there, he just said 'I've got this, can you use it?" Hell yes!

Great model, great fun to paint as well.
