Poll
Who will gain the upper hand for 2.2?
Is it the aggressive, reawakening ancients?
Or is it the vox array protecting veterans of the long war?
Neither, they will go into the next mission equally.

The psykers are going to give the crons fits, as long as they focus on buffing or attacking squads that are away from the spyders. The raptors and bikers are going to get torn apart at midfield by the AnnBars and at least one squad of wraiths. The rest of the CSM list is very immobile. I forsee deepstriking oblits, at least two squads. One squad will get tarpitted by scarabs, the other will get hit by wraiths and a Dlord, and spyders will join whichever fracas the TDA sorc is in. If the CSM player dedicates at least two squads of oblits to the table turn one and focuses down the Annies, the playing field might even up. I just dont see the CSM having enough viable threats to cover all the bases.

The worst part about 40k is that my models don't hug me back.

Haha, hot and cold. Your suggested play would have been effective as well, especially if BAO or regular BRB play.
