After a little over six months of my first, truly ever scratch build, I wanted a redo on my Wolf body Warhound Titan.

Now I'm not going to say I did an awful job, the titan in this pic is by no mean some PVC and pipe cleaners, like others I have found on the net. But I wanted something g better. This titan was my first plastic card job ever. And I think it turned out pretty good for a first time. I found some plans on the net and thought to myself, "this can't be to hard". Well after getting better at my craft I went back and looked at my finish titan. Bad joints, awful pistons for hydraulics and just all over not the best I could of done. Well I busted out the schematics once again to build a better looking titan. Taking my time on smaller details that back in November.

I will post pics of the build on just about ever part. This will not be a tutorial, but I will post materials and items used and where they can be purchased for relatively cheap money.

P.S. Since these are not my plans I will not post them.

I hope you will be interested in this build. I will answer as many questions as I can that get asked.

Ok. So I'm going to start with the materials that I will be using during this build.

First off is the plastic card. Now most of the plastic card that I found at my LHS was way to small, which would mean I would need a lot of it, or it was way over priced. So when I was at Lowe's one day with my son, I passed by the isle with the "For Sale" signs on it. Well the For Sale signs were way to thin, not sturdy enough for for a 10"-12" model. But the BIG 15x9 sheet of plastic was think enough. I know with the last titan I build I used roughly 18 sheets. But at $2 a sheet $38 for a scale titan isn't that much, at lest IMHO. The next thing I would use the most of is glue. Nothing really special here. Most of us probably have a tube or two of the "red" testors glue around for our mini's(better bond than super glue). But yes I also use super glue, not on a lot, just on some of the areas that need a quick hold. My choice of super glue is "Loctite Super Glue Professional Liquid". It's the best IMO, its never failed me. Then the last glue I use is the Liquid Testors Plastic Cement. The one with the brush.

The last thing I use a lot of is files. One of the mistakes I made on the titan in the first post was that I used the metal files, the small ones for modeling. Well this put big gouges in the plastic. So this time I'm using some of my wifes finger nail files.
So this is the stuff that I am using for this build. When I get from dinner with my wife I will post the skeleton of one of the foots.

Ok back from dinner, and time for some pics. First up are the toe joints. I made the mistake last time of using a metal file on the plastic card. Well the file was just too sharp for the card to handle and for that I ended up with some frail joints. Well this time I use the nail files and it worked out great. I smoothed out all of the edges and seams and they turned out much nicer than last time.

The next pic up is the skeleton of the foot up to the ankle. Over all everything turned out really good. This foot took me about 3-4 hours to do. I'm really taking my time this go around.
And for the final pic, is the all the small bits into one big bit. After look and comparing the titan from last NOV to todays foot, looks so much better. I'll be taking a brake over the weekend, I have a rodeo to go to and a band gig, so my next post, if everything goes right will be of both feet and legs.

That is looking very promising...subbed for sure...

By the way, I use in all my works nail files...cheap, effective and easy-to-use...and even a fine grain too...what's more to wish for?

Cheers, vik

Ok guys. I've got an early update for ya'll. First I have both feet done. On one foot I have the pistons in and ready to be put undet the shin armor once I have it cut out. For the pistons, this is something that I have done different from the last titan. The last one (first pic) was just made with some random plastic tube I found lying around. This time I was at Hobbly Lobby and found some metals for modeling and crafts (second pic). They are K&S Precision Metals. For the outter tube (unfortunately my 1yr old "ate" the cardboard packing so the size is missing), but its smaller than 5/32". I believe its 1/8" tube, and the inner rod is 3/32". This sutff is really easy and nice to work with and is just a few dollars a pack.

The last pic is the feet up to where I'm at in the build. I may get an update in after I'm done with a sound install in the morning. I hope to have the legs, shin armor and detail for the feet up to the hips done by Tuesday evening.

Ok guys, I"m getting some good work done today. I'm not working for the next few days due to a really bad fall off a ladder. At the moment I'm working on the right leg and getting ready to cut out the hips and waist. I'll post some pics here in a bit.
