Here is a Warhound I am making from mostly parts from my bits-box and from super-cheap parts I found on ebay.

This all started 4 years ago when I purchased some Forgeworld Warhound parts on ebay. I didn't know what to use them for, but for the $18 I paid it was too good to pass up.

Anyway, here is a parts breakdown:

Carapace and shin armor: Forgeworld Warhound bits

Feet: old-school Leman russ turrets

Main body: Valkyrie Hull (everyone wants the wings as bits, but no one wants the body. Got it on ebay for $7.)

Cockpit: Stormtalon hull (once again, not a very sought after bit. Got it on ebay for $8)

Hips: Aegis defense line gun mount

Weapons: Spare leftovers from the Dreamforge Leviathan kickstarter.

Upper legs: Dreamforge Leviathan legs. (yeah, these were expensive and from ebay. I just get frustrated with scratch building legs. $16)

Toes: Resin casts of a Lego from my daughters toys.

Feet Hydraulics: spares from the bits box. Originally from Zinge industries I believe.

Lower legs: Cash register rolls from the garbage.

Knee Hydraulics: plastic tubing and Space Marine shoulder pads.

Pilot: Sentinel Pilot from my bits box.

Overall, this seems to be about $45 and a raid on my bits box.

Pretty cool! The only thing I'm not the fan of the arms sticking out to the side, but that's more of an aesthetic preference, I appreciate it's based of older designs. Very nicely executed, all things considered.

Thanks. When I started lining things up the Dreamforge arms were a little to tall to hang in a vertical configuration like the Forgeworld Warhound. However, I was looking at an old Armorcast Warhound and got the idea to mount them horizontally.

In the end it kind of blends the two aesthetics in a way that pleases me. In case you are wondering, it is about half-way between an Armorcast and Forgeworld Warhound in size as well.
