After years of faffing around and a long break from chaos (basically all of the last codex) I've finally managed to finish a Black Legionary with a repeatable paint scheme I actually like.
Now I'll just need to finish a unit before digging out the paint stripper.

So I'm just looking for some feed back before moving onto the whole squad.

Thanks for looking.

I like overall, one thing that I recommend to improve it would be to water down your paints a little to make it a bit smoother.

I like it a lot especially the colored helmet hoses. Gloss him with a spray coat for a super fast sheen without highlighting..

I like the marine but the base is too nice for Black Legion. These guys are coming from the warp, not from the shire

Just my humble oppinion

Beef up the bases

Thanks for the comments.
I'll have a think about the base definitely. it's not like I don't have a ton of skeleton bits about. Colours will need to match my other bases but with a theme, Ork are scrapyard as I've got two sets of secret weapon tables on the way, nids will have vegetation and I was thinking ruins and rubble for Black Legion, but more chaos definitely has me thinking.

Next Marine Painted and I've played a bit more with the base. pondering getting some blood effect or maybe brown wash for dried blood on future models.

Both together.

I knocked up a quick guide to how they are painted over on the blogg.

I've had a play about with bases and come up with this.

While I'll likely fill the unit out with some simpler ones so as not to got to OOT I'm happy with the results.
Any comment welcome.

So the first part of the unit it finished, some point I'll fill it to ten and add a Rhino but for now I'm working on my Orks.

I've put several more pics on my Blog (see signature) along with some backstory.
For here I'll just share the 4 additional Guys,

Brother Champion Bel Zaidu

The Blessed One

Zikar-Sin

Escalus Kolas

So I'm just off to get that pesky bit of gold on Bel Zaidu's Shoulder pad. For a bunch of test models I'm quite happy especially sine some of them took a few to many layers of paint as I decided the best way to do the black armour.

Would love to hear feedback. Thanks for reading

good tabletop standard but the bases are definitely an eyecatcher and ur realy talented when painting faces, those are definitely a very high standard

Dude. These are really good. Your army would definitely stand out at my FLGS.

The additional chaosy-ness of the bases is awesome.

Thanks very much.
Faces mostly just dry brushing/washes and dotting the eyes so very pleased with the result.

Going to have all my ruins in the same colours, these guys helped me work out them out and should look realy good on the table.
