Well, first post here might as well make it a decent one

Had the idea for a helicopter/valkyrie conversion for a few years, finally got around to starting it.

went for a dual rotor look, i think it fits rather well in 40k

A few more angles, i wanted to keep the look of a modern attack chopper so i went for an undermounted lascannon instead of the side mounted one that comes standard

I like it. Given the chopper format I would make some engine covers to at least partially cover them (at least 3/4 of it)

You say that I am crazy. I say that you are right!

Never even thought of engine covers, might have to give them a miss now though since i just undercoated everything

Edit: i still could add them possibly, ill see how things go

Drew up a few designs for nose art, settled on the "sexy commissar"... if no more posts follow its because i've since been executed for impure thoughts of an imperial official

That's awesome

I only wonder if you'll have enough space to do the freehand on while still making it recognizable...

EDIT: mainly because of all the rivets and small things sticking out everywhere.

I like it, it puts me In mind of the Russian "hind" gunship.

it was partially inspired by the Hind and the Kamov, mainly because i nabbed the dual rotors from a Kamov model kit aha

Got the outlining done on the side, as it turns out i drew the paper version about 1/4 too big, so i then had to spend another 40 minutes re scaling to fit

Since i removed the side mounted lascannon there was plenty of room to work with, i just managed to make it fit on a single panel, so no panel lines to interfere with it

All painted... except for the bolt pistol due to a shortage of silver paint

Looks pretty good.

If you want to try another conversion, the Vulture gunship might be an even more apt project. It uses the same nose/cockpit as the Valkyrie and is all gun, especially with the TL punisher outfit.

I noticed that the plastic glue label recommends wearing something akin to a hazmat suit when handling the glue. I have been using it for years and never used gloves or anything nor do I know anyone who does. ShouldI be worried for my health?

Well, there's a slight risk of gluing something together with it. Only slight, mind.
